Does Greg Talley still have some eligibility?

I'm in the Justin Fields can frick right off camp. Guy is literally in the process of smearing the crap out of our beloved institution, and we are going to let him put the G on again?? I hope they put him in when we're up 50 and the o-line does the intentional ole play.

Ah, I was kinda hoping for Da One

Da One to follow One One

Oh well, that's my lame attempt at humor this morning, carry on.

Mathis highlights are trash, he will not have a meaningful snap at UGA and will not push Fromm. The next 2 years we will do a lot of winning but not hardware. Have to wait until Saban leaves Bama.

I agree that Mathis’ highlights aren’t very good, but what makes you think that Fromm isn’t going to push himself regardless?

So you are saying that we will not win anything for the next 2 years because you don't like our most recent QB commit's film?

We should let Kirby know so he can take it easy the next few years. I'm sure he will enjoy the time off with his family.

I think the Fields thing hurt Fromm and cost us the LSU game.

Getting pulled in and out at certain screws with you.

A team can only have one starting qb. Look at the NFL, they don't put back ups in when then are up by three TDS.

The rotating QBs thing is overblown.

Does Fromm get worse when the opposing QB is on the field?

Just know your keys, know your reads, and execute.

Offenses have to work as a single unit. There needs to be a certain level of cohesion and consistency that exists in order to run fluidly. Quarterbacks are referred to as field generals because they have to be able to lead the offense to varying degrees and the rest of the men on the field are looking to him to make sure he's got them in the right play and the right place on the field. Inconsistency is introduced when you replace a veteran signal caller for someone who is struggling to know what's going on.

The quarterback and receivers also develop a timing with each other and that timing can get thrown off when the QB changes. The quarterback also gets accustomed to knowing the situation better because he's out there on the field for the entire drive. When you swap QBs in and out during a drive, it makes it harder for them to think through the particular situation (It's my first play, but it's the 2nd down?) and gives another level of complexity that can throw off other aspects of the game.

Great execution can overcome a lot of obstacles with a revolving door at the QB position but a lot of that great execution happens in a game is precisely because of the cohesion the team has built together as a unit.

In conclusion, there's a reason why most teams don't run a two-QB offense and why most two-QB offenses aren't very successful. It's possible, but it generally doesn't work well.

That can be said for every position. Offense or defense.

The QB position is no different.

If another QB makes Fromm worse... wouldn't he get worse when the opposing offense and opposing QB is on the field?

The point is overblown.

The reason is because 1 QB is definitely better than the other. And you play your best players.

And in the NFL where cap space limits personnel, 1 QB is often infinitely better than the other.

The QB position is most certainly different.

You want to avoid 2 QBs... why?

Because it might affect the starter's psyche?

How is that any different than plugging in a 2nd QB to coddle the backup's psyche?

The QB position is no different than any other position. You need the player to be good and competent/effective. If he isnt, don't play him. That goes the same for DL, linebacker, WR, placekicker.
