If he goes somewhere else and shines, this is going to look very very bad on us.
I have to think Kirby throwing him to the wolves in the SECCG presser was the final straw. Still don't know why Kirby did that, unless he either:
A. Already knew he was leaving, or
B. Wanted him gone

I can’t believe how upset we are that our true freshman backup is going to transfer. Our backup that would have only given a year of production before bolting to the NFL.

Not that I made any public declaration but I knew both those QBs weren't gonna wait at Georgia. One of them had to go and we got the better guy for our system in my opinion. Fields's head was spinning the whole season.

I've seen 2020 mock drafts with him in the high first round. If he has a full season similar to the second half of 2018, I'd be shocked if he's back for a fourth year.

In the future, this is why you space out highly rated QBs at least two years apart.
