Fields is gone. I for one like how this team is setting up for next year. Change is good and we are getting plenty.

What kind of change are we getting?

No Thomas, Wilson, cager, and swift.

Ewww. Not a good start.

Other than continued ownership of the East, I really don't know what to expect of next year. Go Dawgs.

The discussion’s existence is toxic to the program. No matter what side of the debate you’re on, people just need to shut the frick up about it.

The pro-Fields people will say “well, if Kirby hadn’t run him off, we wouldn’t have to talk about it”. The anti-Fields people will say “If the Fields crowd wouldn’t keep starting the conversation, we wouldn’t say anything”.

Both sides need to decide what’s more important: the good of the program or them being right in an internet argument.

Even that’s not assured but a few things I think we can count on:

1. Improved WR play. Jackson, Blaylock, Pickens all with another year. Robertson finally contributing some. Loads of talent inbound.

2. Continued excellence in the front 7 and defense overall. Jordan Davis is an anchor. Our young LBs looked very good.
Hopefully Rochester/Rice/Lecounte/Stokes providing that older leadership.

3. A step back along the OL. Losing both tackles is gonna hurt. Lots of talent here. Will take time to develop

I’m excited to see the new backs get their chance..between Zeus, McIntosh, Milton, Cook and maybe Evans..there is too much talent for a star (or two) to not emerge.

I’m excited about the thumpers at Safety in Cine/Reese.

Need a reliable kicker.

The Fields lovers are upset right now that their QB was exposed last night as a choker. We must remain vigilant. They will project their hurt feelings back on the UGA team, fans, and players. Now that Fields is a known choker and loser, they will have to find another avenue to spew their trollery and misery on this board. The next few days will be rough for all here.

I hope to God you’re right but I can’t help but chuckle at how we say this every year.

I just realized what’s going on: Fields is still the backup QB to these fans. You know how they say the backup QB is the most popular guy on the team? It’s because there is hope that they are better than the starter but hasn’t been given a game-time chance to prove it yet.

That’s the mentality that was prevalent all last season but it has carried over to this season. Fields playing on another team continues the backup ‘what-if’ discussion where the supporters can continue to dream about how good he would be for us, providing a coping mechanism for when the team is struggling.

Last night was the equivalent of the backup going in for the injured starter and proceeding to pass out after a wobbly jog onto the field. It dashed the hopes and dreams of those who were riding on the backup being the answer.

Nah. The dudes starting all these threads and going back and forth 100 pages are doing it because they somehow think Fields losing makes Fromm look better. It doesn’t though and it’s sad. Fromm had a shitty year and isn’t elite and Fields has nothing to do with that

We are just big time uga fans, while y’all are more Fromm fans than anything else. We hate to see major mistakes being made that negatively affect our program, and Choosing Fromm over fields was an obvious program changing mistake.

No he has one year left. Hopefully we have a new OC that will use him properly in his final season.

Nope. We are UGA fans analyzing the team’s
performance, not just one player’s performance. We realize that there is more to football than what the QB does. Some of us have moved on from where we were at 5, thinking the QB made or broke the team by himself.
