Going to Athens tomorrow for my daughters 21st birthday (no pics). We'll have lunch and dinner. Give me your best for both. She has mentioned Last Resort for dinner. Thanks in advance.

Verify the mayor doesn't have them on lockdown first.

She’s turning 21. Take her to Creature Comforts and get loaded.

Crazy to think my parents took me there for dinner to celebrate my 21st, 18 years ago. The ensuing night out with my frat brothers was the virtual crap show you’d expect.

Rig...she says everything is open.
Lambert...She actually turned 21 yesterday so she's doing her partying last night and tonight.
DJuga...Last Resort must be pretty good if it's been open that long.

If you are having a big dinner, I recommend a hamburger at Big City Bread for lunch.

The National was a pretty good place for celebrations. Don’t know if it’s still open or not.

Daughter says she's heard good things about Big City Bread. Locked that in for lunch. Thanks!

It's still open and looks promising. And they take reservations. Thanks!

Last Resort is a good pick. The Place is one of my favorites, just a small menu though.

Never ate at last resort but my friends brother managed that place for years. Always heard good things.

Lol someone downvoted me for recommending a restaurant. How sad. What in the world did Raffertys do to you? Haha

That was me. It's my estranged father-in-law's favorite place. If that's his favorite place, that says a lot about anyone else that loves it. No offense.

If you're sticking with downtown can't go wrong with the ribeyes at either The 5 or Porterhouse Grill. Last Resort is good too.
South Kitchen's tomato soup, fried green tomato grill cheese and tater tots are amazing and their shrimp and grits are great too.

There's a guy who works at a local burger 'n beer joint here in Soviet Monica who used to be a cook at Last Resort.
