Interesting read......

Jeremiah Holloman ran a simple slant route, getting open on the right side of the field at Kentucky’s 13-yard line.
Quarterback Jake Fromm quickly turned his focus to Holloman, throwing to him on third down and completing a pass for a first down to keep the drive alive for Georgia.
This wasn’t the only time Fromm targeted Holloman against Kentucky. On Georgia’s final drive of the first quarter, Fromm threw to Holloman on every play of the drive, including a 20-yard reception on third down.
The developing connection between Fromm and Holloman has recently come to the forefront. Holloman has recorded at least three catches in each of the last three games against LSU, Florida and Kentucky.
“I see it developing, too,” Holloman said on Nov. 3. “[Fromm]'s my guy. He's feeling himself. When he gets going, it's hard to stop.”
While the run game overshadowed the passing offense against Kentucky, when Fromm passed, it was often to Holloman. Holloman led Georgia with four catches for 39 yards in the win.
“He's stepping up big time,” Fromm said on Nov. 3. “Becoming a big-time player for us, and a really good security blanket out there on the outside. He's doing a really good job, catching balls and making some good plays.”
“I've said it before, he works really hard,” head coach Kirby Smart said. “He blocks really physical. Everything is important to him, all the details. He's on the punt return unit that's one of the better ones in the country. He takes pride in that. He's a backup on kickoff coverage, backup on punt team. He just works.”
The developing connection between Fromm and Holloman, both sophomores who were part of the same recruiting class and enrolled in spring 2017, has been an important part of the Georgia offense. When opportunities have presented themselves to Holloman, he has seized them, and among a talented group of receivers, he is starting to break out of the pack as a go-to option for Fromm.
“What J.J. has done is just grind it,” Smart said on Oct. 29. “J.J. is the epitome of if you work hard, good things will happen to you.”
He had that connection with Godwin last season and now its Holloman. I havent read anywhere about any current injuries for Godwin he probably has double coverage on him this season because they know what he can do. I think thats one of the reasons we havent seen much from him this season. Anyone hear anything different on Godwin?

At this point in the season Im also curious about the lack of Godwin who was such a force last year.

Wimms was the force when it mattered. I think if Wimms did not get hurt we would have beat Bama.

What does “double covering” mean to you?

The games that Ive watched with my dad this year I have noticed his absence and he has told me that Fromm probably cant pass to Godwin because of the coverage. He's obviously playing but probably cant get open. Maybe the opposing teams D's need to now start worrying about Holloman for the rest of the season.
Either way we are stacked when it comes to our WRs this year.

Well that settles it then; it's definitely time to bench Fromm in favor of Fields. That kind of "connection" stuff is so over-rated in football.

If it were up to HTDawg.......
Thank goodness it's not.

It's a valid question. I know he started the year off banged up. Not sure how long he's been at 100% (or if he even really is). Would love to see a snap count breakdown by WR (even better if broken down by running vs passing plays).

Honestly, I question his loyalty to Fields. He only wants Fromm benched, not executed. This is no time for half measures! We're talking about a transcendent talent that will leave as soon as he possibly can! The man must be a secret Fromm sympathizer....

He is our #4 WR. Finally got more reps vs UK with Hardman hurt.
