That may be true but gunner also missed several reads and open receivers again. The interception or vanilla playcallng or something messed him up.

Oh, it was his worst outing as QB1, for sure

You're arguing semantics.

Anyone with a brain knows we'll lose the bye if we lose next Saturday

Hopefully we can coach him out of what happened last night. Imo they dropped a ton in coverage and forced us to beat them on the ground.

We did

Seen some ( really just graham coffey) point out that Tech had the right defense called a suspicious amount of time. Guys coming down hill on run plays...dropping 8 on pass plays...maybe they guessed right and maybe we werent trying to break tendencies....or maybe the losers had our signs?

Correct. Which is why:

if we lose, we're probably losing the bye

Is so ridiculous.

"Probably?" Can you outline a scenario where we have 2 losses, haven't won our conference, just lost our last game, and remain ranked in the top 4? I'd love to hear it.

This conversation is really getting at the problem with the current playoff structure. Mainly, the power brokers of cfb want to control outcomes, so they devise a complicated playoff format that they can best use to achieve that goal without being too obvious. Here's what it should be:

Have the committee rank the teams only once; after the 12 game regular season is complete. Start the playoffs two weeks later.

1 vs 16
2 vs 15
3 vs 14
etc.

Or even better:

1 vs 8
2 vs 7
3 vs 6
4 vs 5

No byes, no home stadiums, no conference championships, no free passes to little brothers who want to feel included.

I have been so discombobulated over the passing performance that I haven’t reflected on that defensive masterpiece until this morning. Bobo should sign over this month’s paycheck to Schumann for that bailout.

Reminds me a lot of Clemson playoff run back in 2018 when they beat Ohio State 30-0, then seemed to know every Alabama playoff run before the snap.

Relax dude

It's just semantics. We all know we lose the bye if we lose. Quit being so damn technical.

I was wondering if the tech uniforms against the surrounding of the Benz and lights were confusing him.

I like the “they stole our signals theory.” It’s the only thing I can find solace in.

Knew our signals and still couldn't beat us. That's why Key was crying.

Tech is the one with Ex UGA coaches who know our defense and offense play calls ...

Bad Bobo definitely came roaring back as well. Terribly called game.

I think this rolls up to Kirby and his obsession with analytics. Despite one thing working really well, some analytic says you have to do this other thing more for a better chance to win.

GT was dropping back a ton of guys and daring us to beat them with the run.

What signs?

Do folks not realize the plays are radioed in?
Nobody is "signaling" anything from the sidelines.

Looks like he was concussed. Hit his head on the ground early in the game.
