The guy probably looked around and decided that Tenn offered a much better chance to see the field than Georgia.
Tenn had something like 25 players transfer out, if the report I read was correct. They are almost to the point of looking for warm bodies that can suit up on their own.

He’s a 3-star player who would have been a serviceable backup at best. I’m sure income taxes were not nearly as important to him as PT, and you and I could get PT at Tennessee.
