The defense obviously wasn't good, but Oklahoma benefitted from playing on their own rims and they were sinking a bunch of shots they don't make on the road. 48 percent from threes point range is hard to overcome. A big goofy African made 6-7 threes, and he'd only made three 3 pointers in the last 5 games combined.
I still think we can make some noise in the NCAA tournament, if we can get there first.

I think the fact we are (or were) leading the nation in allowing offensive rebounds is the achilles heel of this team.
You simply can't - cannot - keep giving your SEC opponents offensive rebound after offensive rebound and expect to stay above .500 no matter how good the rest of your game might be.
We're giving away free points in droves by doing this, and that can get pretty demoralizing. We play good defense, get the opponent to throw up a miss and ... give them another chance. and another. and another.
It isn't sustainable basketball, and this is the result.

Playing wihtout our best player sucks arse but I still didn't expect things to turn out quite like that. Our tourney hopes aren't buried by any stretch but the margins are now razor thin.
-We absolutely must beat SC and MSU, no questions asked
-Texas goes form "would be nice to have" to "proabbly kinda need to win"
-Must win 1 in the SECT, at least
-The 3 assumed losses of VU/UK/Bama are still very much assumed but now snagging 1 of those goes from "oh that'd solidify us in and improve our seeding" to "that might be the difference in getting us in"
We have 7 guaranteed games left so it's entirely too early to say that we're done...but the writing is on the wall at this point. We can't have any more frickups, and getting JW back would sure be ideal..

If we could just have one game where we didn’t give up 10+ offensive rebounds… like literally have a DECENT showing on the glass and we probably win. Defense can be somewhat corrected by playing zone. frick that press… it’s soft and creates unnecessary stress on our team. Just get back to doing the SIMPLE shite right. Mike White knows this but refuses to adjust. Hopefully we chill out and show up at UK. I don’t expect us to win but I refuse to go into Rupp thinking they’re Billy bad arse m’fers either. We’re a decent/solid team when we calm TF down and play within ourselves. Our new “identity” has bitten us in the arse lately and we need to switch it up and play with pace when the game/situation calls for it.

I don’t watch a terrible amount of Georgia basketball because traditionally there wasn’t much point. I decided to pay attention tonight. Are we this poorly coached or do we just so happen to have some of the most unintelligent basketball players imaginable playing? Don’t get me started on the rebounding. ??

And again… we’re much better this year. We were in a funk without JW and the basketball gods were fricking with us because we’re UGA. Hopefully we get/got our head out of our arse and we get revenge against Texas on Saturday. Go Dawgs!
