JT has to graduate before he can transfer. He will not be with the team this spring, but will be taking classes to graduate....then transfer

JT has used his freebie to transfer. In order to go elsewhere and be immediately eligible to play he needs to graduate, then transfer as a GT. He is due to graduate in May. He will stay officially with the team until he graduates then transfer. (That is the thought process right now, anyway)
