This is negated by the fact that Kirby said that KJ Bolden "is ahead of where Malaki Starks was" as a freshmen.

That sports illustrated article is potentially misleading. It says that he was dismissed "following" a Febuary incident. The Febuary incident had already been reported, and this dismissal obviously follows something that happened in Febuary, but that doesn't mean one directly caused the other. We may never know if there was a more proximal cause for this dismissal and that's fine with me.

Most coaches have operated like this on the college level for a very long time. We got spoiled with Richt who ran a fully transparent program. Kirby does it like most other coaches, won't tell you shite. It's only "new to us". NFL rules force you to be transparent regarding injuries and suspensions, college does not.
