Grew up in Valdosta in the 70s. Went to Lowndes but as a kid we went to a lot of Valdosta games. Watched Buck Belue play a lot and as much crap as people give him he was one helluva high school athlete. Graduated from Valdosta State. Lived in Colorado for 20 years then made the bad decision to move back to Ga in Warner Robins. All good though. Earliest memory cheering for UGA was jumping up and down watching Ray Goff make a long run with his tear away jersey torn away and just shoulder pads flapping as he ran. I think was against Florida but if anyone remember please correct me. Outside of a death or something to a family member I would say one of the saddest days of my life was hearing Herschel was not coming back for his senior year. Interestingly with this season I remember as a kid older fans pretty irritated that Matt Robinson was not starting over Goff. Have had "1980" thrown in my face so many times I can't count. Go Dawgs fella's here's to beating Bama on Monday

Currently call Columbia, SC home. I’m from Marietta, Ga, like my parents before me. Spent some of the best years of my life at UGA, graduated in ‘07 after spending my Freshman year at Southern. My father went to UGA as well and I was brought up to be a Dawg. I would LOVE to move back to Athens if given the chance.

Right off Casteel road. I think they made it as a pressure relief school for Harrison and Kennesaw Mountain if my hazy childhood memories are correct.
Super west Marietta/pretty much Powder Springs

I used to live in Columbia. I did not like it at all. There were some nice areas, but the areas around Two Notch Rd were depressing to me.
Do you like it?

I am 60 yrs old. UGA class of ‘83. Grew up in New Jersey and my step dad came home one day and announced that he had a new job in Atlanta. I had to move July, 1978, after 11th grade. Moved to Roswell and attended Crestwood High School, which is now Sandy Springs Middle School. I had preconceived prejudices against the south. I was mostly wrong.
Nicer homes, nice people, and pretty girls, but college football? Who cares! Well, that changed when I got to Athens. More than a game, it’s a way of life. Then, Herschel came my sophomore year, and y’all know the rest. Forty years later, both my sons are UGA grads. I lived in the all-male Russell Hall. They both lived in Creswell. Used to party at places called the B&L Warehouse, O’Malley’s, the Mad Hatter, T.K. Harty’s, and the 5th Quarter.
Times have changed but my love for the Dawgs has not!

Born and raised in New Jersey, yes I'm a Yankee I don't want to hear shite! I went to Rutgers on a full football scholarship, and again yes I don't want to hear shite about how we suck arse, but it's a free education and a good one nonetheless. I've been a Georgia bulldog fan since I was a young lad at the age of six when I would watch the games with my grandfather. My mother's side of the family are all from Opelika Alabama. Our house is pretty much divided with Georgia graduates as well as Auburn graduates, sprinkle in a little bit of Clemson grads as well.
I've been bleeding that red and black ever since.Although, I was a good high school player I was never offered a scholarship to play for the red and black so I had a decision to make whether to walk on there or accept a full ride, which I had to make the decision that was best for me to take the full ride and free education .You won't find a damn piece of Rutgers anything in my house other than my diploma. Outside of that it's all Georgia everything.

A fan is a fan! No requirement to be an alum or from the state, etc. Glad you’re a Dawg!

Columbia has been very good to me over the last 13 years and I’ve built a very good career here. The city has changed a lot for the better over the last decade, but the surrounding area is still shitty. Two Notch Rd is still depressing, Platt Springs is still depressing, but Main St has really been revitalized.

No Calvary Day High School had the hottest girls inSavannah during the 80’s. Probably 8 or 9 of my buddies from Windsor forest high school dated Calvary girls.
Not sure you can call a guy that stabbed Jesus on Golga a cheerleader but I got a chuckle out of it anyway

In Lexington my man….I have a few UGA folks in my neighborhood but it’s almost entirely USCe and Clemson.
Unless you live here, you can’t fully appreciate the improvement CKS brought to the USCe and UGA annual game. Dropping one of every 2 games to those clowns under CMR made it miserable to those of us in SC.
