Im tired of South Carolina fans thinking we want to be/are there rivals and this thread only promotes that way of thinking.

Amen...but I do agree with the OP, everything between Summerville (I-26) and Fort Mill (I-77) is a shite hole.

I just got back from Indian Rocks Beach, its bout 25 miles south of Tampa for those of you that dont know, anyway
I counted Salt Life stickers on the way down and back home, here is what I saw
5 Salt Life stickers on cars with Fla plates
2 on cars with Ga plates
1 on a car with Bama plates
1 on car with North Carolina plates
Not sure what all this Salt Life crap means but there you go

I've lived in Charlotte, Atlanta and now Lexington,SC (outside Columbia) for going on 10 years. I'd take Cola over any of the other two. God willing I'll get back to the North GA mountains one day.
There's not enough money on earth to get me to move into the mess that Atlanta is now. I remember when Alpharetta was considered rural and Loganville was a small town halfway between Atl and Athens...now they've both been assimilated. Also, is there anyone from GA that even lives in Atl anymore?
Charlotte was nice....but it doesn't have a real identity IMO. Also, I don't want my kids being bussed 2 hrs across town to satisfy some beaurocrats social engineering wet dream.
You guys want to live in traffic or behind dead bolted doors....with a bunch of northern immigrant neighbors...that's your call. I like Columbia though.....its hotter than hell in Aug...but I'm also teeing it up in Dec too.

I had a friend call me just yesterday about a very lucrative opportunity in one of the towns between Athens and Atlanta. I told him to give the man my number... and that I would take his call. Right. But, site-rental and utility and sewage fees at the trailer parks up there are nearly quadruple than what they are down here.
So, when you factor those costs in.....I'd basically be making about $1.75 an hour.
Just not worth it.
