Serious rumblings that Tracy Rocker will be the DL coach. Would be an awesome hire

Wasn't one of his gripes with CFB about recruiting, though? Lord knows it would be a home run hire, for sure.

I've heard he doesn't like recruiting, but he was an effective recruiter at Auburn. His acumen and reputation as a DL coach more than makes up for his possibly less active recruiting. He could basically be a DL closer if not a relationship recruiter.

@SethEmerson: Just spoke with Tracy Rocker. Asked him whether there was anything to him joining Georgia's staff as D-line coach, Rocker said: "Not yet."

My source told me the D.line coach would be a minority hire.

He seems like the type that doesn't want to go putting on fronts for Mama and have his players expecting that during practice...

I've heard this too, mostly from AU fans, shockingly.
He may not love recruiting, but his tactics have to be better than the ol', "show up to the kids high school drunk and smelling of whiskey". Or the even better, "show up to the kid's in-home drunk and fall asleep on the couch".
Classics I know, but they seemed to have lost their effectiveness the last few years there before we got Wilson...

I would run out of this building and suplex the first poor son of a bitch I saw in a gamecock shirt if we announced Rocker as a DL coach. That would be a home run, especially matched with Pruitt.

Even the AU fans think it'd be a good hire based on their board and they hate every hire Georgia makes.
This, analysts, possible return of pistol, 4-1 basketball, Stricklin....idk, I need another arrest to get back to normal.
Honestly the hire of support staff is what has me most giddy. Georgia is finally, it seems, putting on it's big boy pants.

Just take a few deep cleansing breaths and think of JHC's suspension (and those sure to come). You'll be back to normal in no time.

My closest thing to an inside source told me that Rocker and UGA are ironing out a deal and that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Rocker should be officially announced sometime next week.
