Some people are incapable of admitting they were wrong or changing their position. It’s the equivalent of “losing” an argument and they can’t mentally let that happen.

It's known aa the Sunken Cost Fallacy, and it happens when someone's gone too far down a given path that they keep it up due to time/energy expended, rather than maintaining the opinion/belief.

I don't mind the hot take on the score prediction from a guy with CTE who is a below average radio personality sidekick. But his ongoing hate of Stetson these last years is just weird. He hates him.
