against mighty San Jose State despite getting a lot of playing time. I watched the game and SUPRISE, he's not athletic enough to be able to handle more plays. I seemed to recall his chief complaint against Kirby was that he was capable of playing more and the coaches disagreed. San Jose's line kept him in check the entire game. He looked slow, lethargic and lacked enthusiasm. He took plays off and slow jogged to the ball once it left the pocket.

Hope he's saving that NIL money, because his draft stock is imploding quicker than the OceanGate sub. Reap what you sow Brother. Reap what you sow.

Lincoln Riley teams are softer than baby shite. He supposedly tells WR recruits that they won't get hit in practice.

He wasn't horrible, but there's nothing else on that D, and they're undisciplined and out of position a lot.

It's what you expect from a coach who doesn't care about defense.

Bear will have a lot of fun and make a nice check, but he won't be getting better like he would in Athens.

They treated him like a VIP and tossed him some cash. I'm sure he gets superstar treatment from the staff as well.

The problem is two fold. 1. CFB isn't the final destination (or it shouldn't be). If you have top 10 draft potential, pissing it away for an off campus suite and 1-5% of your potential first NFL contract is a huge mistake.

2. There are plenty of people who will treat kids like this like VIPs while screwing them over. This just painted an even bigger target on this kid's back.

I still wish him luck, but I'm not exactly hopeful.

San Jose State had 200 yds rushing vs the Trojans. 200.

Bear took the quick pot-o-honey USCw offered instead of thinking long term. Instead of 1st round, he’ll go in the 4th. He’ll lose far more financially bc of this poor decision.

Old Bear tore it up this week he had 2 tackles and an assist so that would be 3 total tackles and 1 assist in 2 games. Damn Bear may go No.1 in the draft next year lol.

That's quite possible. Transfer rules could be a hurdle, though.

He is a good talent. Says a lot about our recruiting and depth that we weren’t going to sacrifice letting him have his way to keep him happy at the expense of the team.

Was wondering how he did this past week.

At this rate, he could have 3 whole tackles next weekend.

He could've been the next Jordan Davis/Jalen Carter. Hope it was worth it...

It wasn't, but at that level it really doesn't matter. Young people make mistakes, and he's a multu-millionaire at 20 anyway.

It isn't fair to expect these kids to be mistake free when dealing with this much attention, this much money, and this many adults looking to get something out of them.

NIL and portal adding a lot of stuff to the game. Needs to be managed better. They opened the flood gates without a solid plan it seems.
