Is Stetson getting playing time a hint to Beck to transfer to make room for whoever we bring in next year to back up Vandagriff? I don't understand why he didn't play the 4th quarter.

Probably. It’s going to be very interesting at QB next year. Is it Stockton’s team and we take our lumps? Or do we hit the portal? Stockton just looks the part. I hope he’s our QB.

I'm not sold on Beck but I also don't think Stockton will show up as a true freshman and take over. Not if Vandagriff has anything to say about it. We'll have two 5 star QBs at that point but Vandagriff will be way ahead, having been here since last spring and running the scout team this year. But it will be an interesting situation in 2022: A true dual threat QB (Stockton) versus a big, athletic pro style QB with a rifle arm (Vandagriff).

Beck could be the odd man out. But I say that only based on his arm strength not being as impressive as the above two, as well as his reputation of being a risk taker with ball placement. Who knows what further game experience and coaching will do for him as this season continues.

With the way kids are transferring around. I wouldn't be surprised to see this as another year we look around the transfer market for a QB.

All these QBs is why I think that Manning doesn’t come

Personally, i think it is rewarding Bennett for coming back when we were short on QBs, plus an attempt to keep him sharp if JT gets hurt.

Next year? I am thinking Beck starts the season off, and if he falters they will bring in Vandagriff.
Stockton will have to be head and shoulders better than Vandagriff to get the nod.

Based on intel from the other site, Beck won't be around next Spring.

He still has eligibility left after this year? I know last year didn’t count but seriously?

I saw an interview recently with BVG where he says something like, “I’m perfectly fine with taking a year to learn before taking the reigns.”

He sounded like he believes it’s his job after this season, and I don’t see how it’s not.

I fully expect Beck to hit the xfer portal as soon as this season is over. He’s clearly not an SEC level QB, and he looks like a demoralized sad puppy standing on the sideline.

BVG is a dual threat, too. Dude rushed for 1000 yards in a season. That’s not just a mobile pro-style QB.

I have watched Stockton a bunch, he really isnt very accurate and he wont be running for a gajillion tds in the sec.

I hope he is all world but what i am seeing is he is getting a bunch of help from his recievers.

I always wonder about these kids coming from small private schools to college football . how often do they work out versus kids playing 6A public school ball across the south? Call me crazy but I think maybe the competition level is a little different. I was wrong about Holyfield though.

If Daniels leaves for the draft and Beck xfer’s out, we could be down to just BVG and Stockton, right?

But we could also have all 4 next season, so who knows?

Is it a guarantee Daniels enters the draft? Isn’t he only a RS Jr, plus his extra covid year of eligibility?

Daniels goal should be high first round, if he camt get that grade, he should stay.

There really isnt alot for the nfl to judge so far on him.

The math with the rookie contracts greatly benefit those that go really high, which he should at somw point.

I really do not understand the purpose of putting Stetson in the game. He doesn't bring something different than JT he certainly isn't on the same level. He doesn't need game time reps he has more than anyone else already. Not prepping our future QB so why?
