Our defense has 3 games to play lights out and stay healthy. If they can I think we can stay in any game with any team. Happy to just be on the couch watching other teams play this weekend

Don't we only have 1 player out on defense? I believe we are fully healthy and it will be all hands on deck.

Peaking at the perfect time...visions of Gunner hoisting the trophy in Mercedes will be a goated performance by Kirby and this team

I appreciate the vision, but IMHO I would give the moment to Chaz Chambliss. The guy has did things the right way, paid his dues, has developed into a really good LB. I can't think of anyone on the team that still embodies the concepts of dedication and commitment more than him. He may not be the "best" player on the team, but he exemplifies the traits you wish everyone on the team possessed. Let's face it, if you hope to combat the self-serving interest the portal brings to the forefront, you best start rewarding those who stayed faithful to the program any way you can.

Chaz Chambliss is the Stetson Bennett IV of the Dawg defense.

Y’all out here disrespecting Dirty Dan.

A couple of other defensive guys who deserve a lot of praise for their dedication, Naz Stackhouse and Warren Brinson.

On O…say what you will about Truss…he’s in his 9th SR season, and all he has done is work his butt off to do what he could to help the team. He’s been moved in and out of the lineup, plugged in different spots. Those are the guys we should talk about a lot more.

On the contrary. Comparing a current player to the young man who is arguably the only player in the modern era to earn the GOAT DGD title with Herschel is the highest praise that can be given.

I was being facetious about the disrespect for Dan. I know we talk about both him and Chaz as DGD’s all the time.

I also just wanted to draw attention to a few other guys who are underpraised. And even I forgot about Cash Jones.

Naz Stackhouse

I'm still upset for him that he didn't get his TD on that deflected interception vs. MiZZZou last year.

I agree! I remember last year watching him and asking myself how in the hell he’s on the field? Beginning of this year he would make mistakes (lose edge contain, be out of position), the second half of this year he’s really taken a step up. I’ve seen him beat people with strength, hands, engage a block break off and make the tackle! He’s bought into the process and made himself into a great defensive player!
