Beck is as clumsy as anyone I have ever seen

I mean not really. I think what you’re describing is his pocket presence at times is pretty damn bad. Our WR did him no favors last year, and he made some NFL throws like the Delp TD in the Tenn game, but he also made PLENTY of horrible panic throws resulting in interceptions.

When he decided to tuck it and run he isnt stetson as someone else said but he has plenty of athleticism to move north and south. Where I think he struggles and will keep struggling is buying more time in the pocket and outside the pocket when he isn’t attempting to run the ball

We are talking about the same thing. Baker, Burrow, Bennett all had quick feet and could escape.

Beck could only run when the seas parted for him meaning the pocket split and there was no middle lber ahead.

Nonsense. I remember plays where Beck dodged a couple of tacklers in the pocket and escaped for big first downs. It's more true that Gunner is a sitting duck in the pocket.

I remember a play where he threw a pick six and just stood there and lost the shutout for the d.

The amount of UGA fans that still call him a Dual-Threat QB baffles me. Dude is a pocket QB . I don't care what those Recruiting sites called you in High School.

He faced UAB in 2023 and has zero interceptions recorded in that game, per CFBstats page linked below.

Gonna have to agree to disagree with this one. I guess we'll find out one way or the other soon enough.

In the 2021 college football season, quarterback Carson Beck threw one interception against UAB. This occurred during Georgia's 56-7 victory over UAB in Week 2.

God damn people. This was the game he was supposed to start over Bennett.

Oh, so you've been hating Carson Beck since 2021.

Wow.

As a football guy, I don't forget QBs who throw horrible ints and don't do anything to stop the guy from scoring.

I haven't looked up the play but if you have it handy I'd like to watch it. All I can find is 23/24 stuff.

Although I can imagine the coaches probably teach them to not get Aaron Murray'd on an interception in garbage time against a cupcake.

A senior QB is different from one trying to withe team over as a starter. Let the air out of an amazing day on defense

Beck is definitely athletic and can run. The problem with Beck and running is in his brain. If it’s scripted, sure, he’s fine. But when the pocket falls apart and he has to decide if he should run or throw it away etc , Becks brain short circuits. Often times resulting in the most retarded INTs imaginable.

Saban said as much on GameDay last year about the key to beating Georgia. He said you have to make Beck uncomfortable and force him to make unscripted decisions. Because when he does, they’re usually bad ones

This is of course where Beck and Stet are polar opposites. In the moments of chaos that turn Beck into a INT machine, Stet innately rose to the occasion, shined , and made all the difference.

The key ingredient in life and also in the qb position, is instincts. Stet has them. Beck does not. I believe Gunner has them. Can’t wait to find out

Stet was short and got passes blocked at the line which was why he needed to be replaced.

Go back and rewatch the ND game. That's all I can say. Can he get the occasional yardage scrambling sure. Can he get you a tough first down if needed - sure. Can he separate from defenders and use his speed as a weapon - No - he's not a_- Dual - Threat QB. Stetson was a dual threat QB - Riley Leonard was a Dual Threat QB. Stockton poses very little threat to the defense via his legs. Hopefully he gets faster in the off season.
