Yes, we are one of, if not the best team in the country. Anytime a team is that good they have a chance.

Post less.

In 2012, late in the game I actually believed we would win the SECCG. We would have handled ND in the NC game easily as Bama did.
This year, I think we have a real chance to get to the Playoff. Our best chance to make it to the NC game would be for Miami to knock off ND, win out, and come in at #4.
If TCU makes it in and to the NC game we could beat them, but Oklahoma scared the hell outta me. And I'll bet out DBs would feel the same way. Mayfield for the Heisman.

Kirby sold a few key players on returning because he thought the pieces were there for a playoff run. This team isn’t as talented as Alabama top to bottom, but that sales job ensured there would be mature, Sunday talent on the field where it matters for Smart’s style of football. And it’s made a huge difference and it may be awhile before we see this many talented upperclassmen on defense again. If Georgia beats Auburn Saturday, they should probably be the favorite to win the championship. In spite of all of us and our misgivings and shortcomings as fans.

Hurts isn’t a guy that beats you, it’s their running game and defense. Hell their back up, Tua, is a much more talented quarterback.

This is a fallacy. He never does too much and isn’t flashy, so people underestimate him. The dude is a 60% passer and can run past anybody.

That said, I’d like to see y’all kick their arse and somebody that’s not Bama repping the SEC. Get past them and y’all can beat anybody. Just pray you don’t have to play em twice.

True shot? Sure - if Jalen Hurts goes down with a season ending injury before we play Alabama

Have you ever seen Hurts throw a forward pass?

UGA can win the SECCG but Hurts is the best running QB that I've ever seen and I'm an old man. Hurts weaves through traffic with ease and he never takes any bad hits. Watching Hurts depresses me. Thankfully, we have a cure for depression named Roquan Smith. Go Dawgs.

Jalen Hurts
Passing 1406 yds 60.6% YPA 8.03 10 TD 1 INT 145.8 Rating
Rushing 616 yds 6.29 avg 7 TD

Brandon Wimbush
Passing 1287 yds 51.3% 11 TD 2 INT 121.8 Rating
Rushing 639 yds 6.3 avg 13TDS

Notre Dame has played against much better defenses. We did a hell of a job against Wimbush and all other DT QBs we've faced so far.

I would of laughed if asked this at the beginning of the year.... but Kirby and company have really got the kids to buy into what he is selling...

Why not us ?

Beat Bama and roll with it....

Are We getting there earlier than expected... Yes.... but I've known that UGA has been a sleeping giant for years !

I think we'll go as far as our offense will take us.

We'll have to be able to pass against stout defenses, and I'm concerned about our WRs, to be honest.

I think Mecole has elite speed, and if he can continue to develop, I think he would be a real weapon against elite defenses like Alabama.

Auburn game will be telling.

Oddly enough, I think our odds go up if we lose this weekend. Crazy and I am certainly expecting to win, but I think a close game or loss just turns up the intensity to level 11.

Bama is depleted in key areas and I think the team that wants it more will win the sec cg.
