Bad news Personally

My mom passed away this morning. It came out of nowhere. Doesn't feel real. What I have learned though is if your parents are still alive make it a priority to see them more. If there are any issues let them be in the past. I have regrets and I couldn't see it until it was to late. My family and I could use prayers for peace. Thanks Dawgs

Sorry, brother. I know the feeling all too well. Mom passed out of the blue, a week before her 65th birthday back in 2013. Peritonitis of all things. She was a bit of a “black sheep” and always was given a hard time by her family, myself included more than I like to admit. She had her issues, not all of her own making, but there’s not much I wouldn’t give to see her name on the caller ID these days. It’s tough, but you’re right. Put it behind you and try to enjoy what time you have with them in this life. It can be gone in a blink.

My condolences, brotherman. My mom passed 4 years ago and even though we know it was coming, it was very hard. And it still is.

Sorry for your loss.
One thing I wish I'd done when my mom passed was gone into my phone and saved some voicemails from her. Would be nice to listen to when missing her.

I didn’t have a voicemail, but I had her phone and I recorded her greeting and saved it as an mp3. Perhaps you can still do that, just to have her voice there?

I appreciate all the support guys. It's nice to see. And sorry for those of you who have been through this. I knew it would be hard. Just not this hard. It being so unexpected I guess makes it worse

Will pray for you and your family. It’s always tough to lose a loved one. Death is a reminder of our own mortality and these situations—as hard as they are to deal with—are good times to think on that.
