Won't be headed over until Saturday afternoon from here in Atlanta. Which route is the easiest and lest congested? I think we're parking at the Gameday Condos on W. Broad. Thanks.

Your at Atlantic Station right?...

That late in the day Cat I'd take I-20E, Go to exit 82 (Hwy 138-Conyers) turn left & take 138N, it will dead end into Atlanta Hwy(78E) & that'll take you to Athens. As you get to Athens you can either take 316E to the Bypass or continue straight & take a right onto Broad St. depending on which side of town you decide to park on...

90min. max(prolly closer to 75) & you miss all the traffic on 85N/316/Lawrenceville...

I drive this way from Douglasville & my lot spot is at E.Broad & N. Thomas & it's 2hrs max for me...

I go up 85, past mall of GA. there is a hwy that runs right into town. someone will probably chime in with the hwy I am talking about. but never had any traffic at all, just speed traps

If you're not coming until the afternoon, I'd say take Jefferson Highway. That will take to you Prince Avenue and West Broad is right down the road.

This. Come up 85 till exit 137 (Hwy 129). There is literally a sign that says UGA before you exit. Take that all the way into downtown and turn right on to Pulaski. You cant miss Gameday.

Yerp, what they said.

On a related note, how early should I be on campus on Saturday? We don't have a tailgate set-up and after this week, I'm down for sleeping in so I'm awake for the night game.

I usually park ECV but I'm not sure what to expect as far as a crowd goes. On the one hand, I think I'd be fine showing up no later than 5. On the other, only night game of the year, a particularly special senior day, fan organized blackout, etc...

If you don't have anywhere to tailgate you can swing by where we set up. We'll be there at 7:30am, probably be pretty lonely until 1 or 2 when other people start showing up ha.

I set up our tailgate at 7 am. So I am of little help to you. But I am still jealous as has hell about the Jersey.

From ATL take 285 to 78. Way faster than going all the way North to 129 or 316. Avoid 316 at all costs!

be cognizant of the speed traps on 129.

honestly, if you are coming up later in the afternoon, I think you will avoid most of the traffic whichever way you go. I would guess most people would be trying to leave ATL around noonish.

Well, I learned earlier this afternoon that we'll be in Athens by lunch time. Not sure how much of a difference that makes.

Been to Athens every which way from Atlanta and 78 is the easiest by far and fastest. He doesn't need to 285 from downtown just go Ponce all the way to 78.
