Makes sense.
Unfortunately with cell phone data, there is never a lack of evidence if the truth hurts.
Cars also have something like the airplane's black box.
To be fair to those mentioning it on boards, it wasn't an internet rumor. I understand wanting to protect reputations. But it wasn't internet rumor at all.

What’s he gonna do, take their car keys away? How enforceable is that, really, for 19, 20 year olds? They will drive, regardless because they’re at college and want to get to where they wanna go.
We’ve been battling transportation issues, e.g. scooter violations, not having driver’s licenses for years. Even something like this won’t change that. Not to mention problems normally don’t occur “on campus”.

If school is in session and they are on campus or off-campus housing he can enforce it. He's the coach.
Now when they are out of school that's totally not enforceable.

It is exactly why the nfl doesn't want to draft 18-20 year olds.
Posted on 3/1/23 at 12:03 pm to AmsterdamNYCDawg
Throw the book at him. By that I mean fall to #8 and get drafted by the Falcons. In a way that is a harsh punishment.

Cant imagine being 20 with a 700 hp car, not that you need that many horses to be dumb.
My dads old 330 hp corvette would fly back in the early 90s.

Jalen Carter Releases Statement Following Misdemeanor Warrants
Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter has released a statement following misdemeanor warrants.
JONATHAN WILLIAMS
News broke on Wednesday that Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter had two misdemeanor warrants issued against him for reckless driving and racing from the night of the crash that occurred back on January 15 and took the lives of Georgia football player Devin Willock and Chandler LeCroy who was a recruiting analyst for the team.
Carter was expected to meet with the media at the NFL combine event today, but did not make an appearance after the news came out about the warrants. Since then, the Georgia defensive lineman released a statement on Twitter discussing the topic. Here is what Carter posted:
"THIS MORNING I RECEIVED A TELEPHONE CALL FROM THE ATHENS GEORGIA POLICE DEPARTMENT INFORMING ME THAT TWO MISDEMEANOR WARRANTS HAVE BEEN ISSUED AGAINST ME FOR RECKLESS DRIVING AND RACING. NUMEROUS MEDIA REPORTS ALSO HAVE CIRCULATED THIS MORNING CONTAINING INACCURATE INFORMATION CONCERNING THE TRAGIC EVENTS OF JANUARY 15, 2023. IT IS MY INTENTION TO RETURN TO ATHENS TO ANSWER THE MISDEMEANOR CHARGES AGAINST ME AND TO MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE COMPLETE AND ACCURATE TRUTH IS PRESENTED. THERE IS NO QUESTION IN MY MIND THAT WHEN ALL OF THE FACTS ARE KNOWN THAT I WILL BE FULLY EXONERATED OF ANY CRIMINAL WRONGDOING."
Head coach Kirby Smart has also released a statement about the subject. The Georgia coach stated, "The charges announced today are deeply concerning, especially as we are still struggling to cope with the devastating loss of two beloved members of our community. We will continue to cooperate fully with the authorities while supporting these families and assessing what we can learn from this horrible tragedy."

Agree, any talk about what she did wrong is useless and dumb because she paid the ultimate price for her decisions.

At the end of the day, there were a number of poor decisions made that cost the lives of people. From a legal standpoint, being that there were dotted lines to an institution/ company entity that is high profile the pockets will be deeper and the news will gently play with its balls whilst sucking every juicy ounce of story out it.

Now Chip Towers and Mark Bradley amongst other AJC douchebags are insisting that Kirby speak to the media.
frick the AJC. Kirby doesn't own them anything

I know I'm a blowhard dipshit with seed oil running through my pre-diabetic veins, but if I were in charge, there'd be no AJC presence at any UGA athletic anything.

I would come out and read a written statement that says we are still grieving as a team and anyone trying to try this in the media can burn in hell.
