The Aggies are vulnerable to the run on defense and rely on it heavily on offense. That’s a bad formula against Georgia.

Weather going to add a whole new element to the game. Hoping our boys have been practicing all week with the sprinklers on high

Aggie O-line last in SEC in pass-blocking efficiency.

Mond has been pressured on 39.6% of drop-backs (6th most in FBS).
- 54.8 grade when pressured
- Legs have saved him, though - only sacked on 14.9% of dbs.

That is one interesting set of stats for Mr. Mond. It appears Georgia’s defense will have the opportunity to pressure him, but can it stay disciplined enough to keep him bottled up in the pocket?

I actually think this will be quite a challenge.

Kellen Mond is a pretty dangerous dual-threat and has made much improvement since Jimbo's arrival. He's had accuracy issues at times but he's capable of making those "wow" plays with his arm or his legs. A&M's offense line has struggled, though they've been running it better lately.

Their defense, though unspectacular, has been decent this year. I'm sure they will try and replicate the gameplan that Muschamp had for us and their back 7 is built the same, only with better talent.

Basically, I expect this one to be highly competitive just based on how this season has gone.

Yeahhhhh soooo we’ve said that against almost every tough game we’ve been into (ND, UF) and it’s been tough sledding with this weekend going to be no different.

Would love to be wrong but it isn’t going some simple game plan to get us a W.

I think Georgia finally plays a complete game Saturday.

Run, run, pass will not work this Saturday.

1. Continued improvement.
2. Stay focused for 4 quarters.
3. Finish the game.

UGA should win convincingly, but we already know what happens when this team doesn't come ready to play.

It's not rocket science: Do what they don't expect.
And then just before they figure out that tendency, do what they schemed for just to make think their game plan is still valid. :)

For example, say we pass on 1st down and get 5+ yards. They will expect 2 runs to get a first down. So you throw again on 2nd down. Ok, turns out it's an incomplete pass. They will expect another pass to get the remaining 5 yards. So you fake the play-action pass to the left side of the field (Fromm stares down the receiver, you know actually fool the defense for a change) and then pitch out to Swift (Swift sloughs off a block) and he runs around the right side with a TE blocking, etc.

In other words, for heaven's sake, do something different that keeps the defense guessing.

I think TAMU defense is due for some smash mouth runrunpass. As boring as it is, I think that's exactly what you do, unless you find yourself falling behind.

Forget the rest of the season, think about just this game, in a vacuum. Just look at this game, look at the matchups. If you ever wanted to Runrunpass and "impose your will" on someone, this is the one to do it.

They know that you know that they know that you know that they know you're going to run it, and you do it anyway, and still pick up a 5 yd avg. There's nothing more demoralizing than that to a defense, that's when you start to see those breakout runs and the YPC's start spiking.

We only have two common opponents with A&M. Not all that surprising I guess.

Auburn vs A&M defense:
Att Yards Avg. TD
42 193 4.60 2

Auburn vs. Georgia Defense:
Att Yards Avg. TD
36 84 2.33 1

USCe vs. A&M defense:
Att Yards Avg. TD
17 45 2.65 0

USCe vs. Georgia Defense:
Att Yards Avg. TD
36 142 3.94 0

I wouldn’t count the USC game. That was a weird fluke of a game.

Naaah I count it the game. It shows what can happen when this team isn't ready to play.

The philosophy is predicated on discipline and consistency. Can't have an off day because the O doesn't spot you a significant lead in any game against even an average offense.

SC is just a weird opponent. They play a maddening style that's difficult to pull away from if you're not careful.

I'm kinda glad we played them AFTER they'd upset y'all, or I fear we might not have respected them enough when they came to Kyle Field.

It was a fluke. Also the one game Jordan Davis missed. And he’s essential to plugging the hole.
