I guess that is probably a rhetorical question.

How old are you? I think that most of us Negadawgs tend to be 30 and up and most of you Disneydawgs tend to be under 30. That's my theory at least.

Agree with this. Win or lose I want our team to be competitive and not piss games away with sloppy execution and poor discipline. However, it is the responsibility of the HC to recruit quality depth at every position and in this CMR has not been successful compared to our toughest competition. And increased competition in the later half of Mark's tenure largely explains our decline. While teams like Bama and SC have improved significantly, we have not kept pace. And if we lose to SC in Athens this coming Saturday to make it 4 wins in a row for SC, it will send a loud and clear message to recruits in our area that the football programs at both Clemson and SC, have surpassed UGA under Richt.

Who cares how long I've been here? That doesn't mean disregard what I said. I have a point. 8-18. It means something. Stop trolling and kick rocks.

Would you consider me a DisneyDawg or a Negadawg?

Just curious...neither offends me.

I agree...but sometimes in sports, things like that happen. Why? Who knows. When I was back in High School (can't believe i even remember this) we had a HUGE game in the regular season against a highly ranked team. We were ranked decently, too. We fumbled the ball 3-4 times inside our own 10 yard line. It really was embarrassing. We got beat 30-0. As it worked out, we ended up playing this same team in the State playoffs. Mind you, back then only one team went to the playoffs from each region, so it was only top teams. We didn't fumble the ball at all. We STILL lost 10-0. They scored on a pick 6. Sometimes a team walks on the field and everything just goes south. The other team catches fire and you can't recover. It happens. Why? Wish I knew. has nothing to do with preparation, though. I can promise you that. SouCar got on us early and we just couldn't recover. It is what it is.

And that is the scientific explanation for it.

It is what it is.

I agree. number of posts mean nothing. I've seen too many people pile up post numbers on drivel As long as you have something meaningful to say...say it. However, I don't think that record tells everything...or really means too much. Why stop at 2008? because stats from that point on supports somebody's opinion. Take all the numbers, or don't take any of them. Richt's record speaks for itself. He is the best coach Georgia has ever had. And I can back it up with numbers.

He may the best. But it seems we also come up short. In the big games. I'm a dawg fan till the day I die. Frustration is what I'm feeling. We've seen this movie before. That's all I'm saying

Win or lose...I just want to see our guys show up Saturday ready to play and look prepared, our coaches to call plays that make sense (aka keep doing what works, stop doing what doesn't), and to make adjustments based on what's happening on the field.

If they do that, I bet just about everyone will be satisified whether we win or lose. That is all.

Yup.

Any time you lose some big games, it seems you do it all the time. Perspective, my man. Perspective. We have to be careful we don't do a knee-jerk reaction to a loss and REALLY do some damage.

Glory, Glory. I agree 100%, in that game the Hat looked dazed and confused and we blistered their asses. After that the sinking of the ship started and now it's always Richt looking dazed and confused with that "I just shat myself" look on his face. He better turn it around or we'll be calling someone else coach. I think that 75% of the alumnus and fans are tired of his shtick.

P.S- except spaceman spiffy who thinks we should give him 13 more years to turn it around

REALLY? Tell you what. If I can name 3 big games Richt has won will you leave?

Tone down the hyperbole. He doesn't lose all the big games. Just more than you want him to. Miles and Chizik got lucky. Miles less so, but he did come in right behind Saban to win his.

Look. I am glad we get new posters on here. (Shoot, I am new myself) We need more opinions. BUT, try not to make absolute remarks, like "Richt can't win the big game!" Or "Murray plays horrible in all the big games!". I realize you hear some posters on here saying that, and you hear some talking heads on ESPN say stuff like that...but if you say it on here, I am going to point out some big games that Richt has won as coach and Murray has played well. Then you are going to get criticized. try saying something like Richt (Or Murray) seem to struggle in a lot of big games. Nobody can argue with that, because you can back it up. If you DO make wild, blanket statements, you'd BETTER be able to back it up with facts and/or statistics.

That's our problem, we don't leave it all on the field in the big games...Telling stat...

Last ten games for each team listed vs. Top 25 teams in which their "D" allowed 30 points:

LSU - 0 - 30pt games allowed vs. last 10 ranked opponents

Bama - 0 - 30pt games allowed

UF- 2 - 30pt games allowed

UGA- 8 - 30pt games allowed vs last 10 ranked opponents

It is amazing that we've won as much as we have with those stats vs Top 25 teams, frankly. Kinda sad and those stats tell quite a story.

True..but Georgia hasn't been as strong defensively as in the past for quite awhile. Wish we were stronger...and I think we will get better, but it's been a while, honestly. WAY too long. Our Defense hasn't been as good as Alabama, Florida or LSU for a long time. Our offense has been better. We really need to even it out a bit.

I don't get the knee-jerk comments on here. This is an established trend in losing big games. How is questioning Richt knee jerk at this point? Yes, it was one game to start the season. Yes it's POSSIBLE they can turn it around. In fact I expect we'll do "just fine" this year probably 9 or 10 wins. The question to me is, so we accept that every year and cross our fingers that one year we'll have a complete team that performs to their potential. I have been a richt supporter for years but at some point you have to expect more.....or not, I guess.
