Were we wrong for being upset on Saturday Night? Not jumping the gun here. But we've always dropped the "Big Game" during the Richt Era. But that lost hurt because that was a statement game. I know we have the depth & talent. I just feel we're always out-coached.

One could argue the 2005 SECCG was the last time UGA won a “big game.” Save the ’07 Sugar Bowl, Hawaii was an inferior opponent.

#2 Florida last year was pretty big.

Agreed, but that was the biggest cluster frick of a game I’ve ever seen. I was speaking more to a complete all-around game in a big time situation. Last year vs. Florida wasn’t exactly a well-rounded contest IMO

At least we are consistent at something.

I respectfully disagree. We forced 5 of the 6 turnovers and broke their slot's arm on 4th and 1. It was a chain-fight.

I agree. UF didn't just drop the ball. We forced those plays

Well I appreciate you not turning this into another Rant pissing contest. But when I say well-rounded, I think playing at a high level in all 3 phases of the game. IIRC, we struggled mightily on 3rd down, Murray tried to shite the bed, we turned the ball over 3 times (negated by the 6 takeways), and special teams was just “okay”.

I was happy we won, but that wasn’t a complete game IMO

Never fails to amaze me. When you beat a ranked team it is because they are inferior, when you lose to a ranked team it was a statement game.

You forget how he has turned it around against Florida. You downplay the SEC East Championships. Guys...he has a better winning percentage than Vince Dooley. Has beaten as many Top 10 teams as Dooley in half the years. Has a better overall Bowl record, and a better Major Bowl record than Dooley. The only thing Dooley did that Richt hasn't done is win a National Championship, and Dooley did it in his 16th year!

Nobody ever appreciates the coach they have, I guess. there is ALWAYS a better coach out there somewhere.

Key word. "FEEL". We DON'T always lose a big game. We WIN statement games, too. But our fanbase is never satisfied. Everybody is screaming for Richts head. You fire a coach a year after winning the SEC East and playing the National Champions down to the wire and no coach in his right mind would come here.

Dooley

Why is Dooley the measuring stick? Why can’t we measure Richt against his SEC constituents? The state of Georgia is loaded with talent, the boosters have funds, and we have a great tradition. We have more pros than cons. If you’re happy with 10-2 and Outback Bowl appearances, good for you. Everyone has an opinion, doesn’t mean anyone is right or wrong.

The Dooley argument has been played out, I get it he had Hershel.

Are you really satisfied with CMR's performance as a coach in the last 5 years?

We don't spend the money that other teams do though. We don't have near the support staff that UF or Bama do. We're handcuffing ourselves starting with the admins.

Mainly because Dooley is considered by most to be a coaching legend? So, if you have someone that is doing better than Coaching legends, do you really think it prudent to fire him?

And, let's measure him against his SEC constituents. Ok. I will give you Saban. How does he measure up against the other 12 coaches?

And, do you want to go and see how many SEC teams have better all time records, more National Championships? As for talent in the state of Georgia..so? Florida and Texas is considered to be ahead in talent than Georgia. All the schools around those states go into those states and pull players. That means every SEC school has access to Georgia talent. The days of kids staying in state all the time are over. EVERY school loses their talent to other states. Tradition? WHAT tradition? How is our tradition better than Tennessee's? Or Alabama's? Or LSU's?

I would have been happy with 10-2 when we had Goff and Donnan. You all want change, but nobody can say who we could realistically get to replace Richt.

Oh, and as for Dooley? Even with Hershel he had a lower winning %, lost more Bowl games, and had a worse record versus top 10 teams.
