I would put Dabo #2 then Sark 3rd.
I'd put dabo that high maybe on a "most overrated" list. Dabo is so indescribably overrated it's not even funny. Even as recently as a copule years ago people actually listed him as a top 2-3 coach in america. Laughable! The entire and I mean ENTIRE basis for his accolodates is simply having 2 "generational" 1st round NFL Megastud QBs nearly back to back. Now granted...I'm not one of those guys that's like "oh well take those guys away and then see!" because I mean...you can't do that. Those guys did go there and did win big. He recruited them. So he obviously gets credit for that. My whole point is that without those guys he' as average as grits. Let's look at his entire career:
-interim in 2008 so I won't even count that
-He went 57-23 from 09-14 pre-deshaun.71% in a notirously shitty confernece that's barely a P5.
-incredible 2 years with deshaun and won a title.
-One season, 2017, with kelly bryant at QB. Pedestrian sleepwalk though a weak schedule as expected then got absolutely lambasted by bama in the only truly tough game they playe dall year (they also lost to unranked syracuse FTR)
-3 seasons of trevor lawrence and did awesome and won a title
-From 2021-24 has gone 40-14, of 74% in again a terrible league.
So what does all this tell us? it tells us that without a #1 overall NFL Draft pick at QB he is worse than mark richt. Without deshaun/trevor at the helm he has a mere THREE seasons out of 11 with less than 3 losses. Five seasons out of 11 with 4 or more losses. One season out of 11 with a top 5 finish.
when looking at dabo's resume you DO count those ttile yeras, you have to. All I'm saying is that common sense would tell us that dabo is not a top 3 coach in all of america, considering he has'n done jack shite without the #1 draft pick.

Can you imagine how a 5th year senior getting $50k is going to react to a freshman OT who just got $2M? Locker room poison.
That's what I've always thought. Is it possible that the lower paid player might excel motivated by anger? I hope not. I want to see Texas crumble.

That's disappointing behavior for sure, but there's literally no "we" there. He visited UGA once, talked to our coaches on the phone several times. He's never attended the University of Georgia or been part of the UGA football program, and may well have changed his commitment to some other program over the next few months. Any responsibility for, or questions about, his actions go directly to the individual and his family.

Fair. “We” is a little much, but it does frustrate me how the program can’t seem to get away from some of these incidents though.

It certainly makes you question how seriously character is evaluated in this program. We’ve had some REALLY good dudes and leaders come through this program which has given Kirby and staff quite a bit of rope…unfortunately, we’re reaching the point where questions are/will be asked about our respect for high character athletes.

But I thought we were going after the high IQ players that had that dawg in ‘em? Paying elite players was pointless I was told.

So you think Kirby Smart cares less about players of good character than Hugh Freeze, or Steve Sarkisian, or any of these other coaches surrounding Georgia? Sorry, but that's nonsense. How much character evaluation do you think they can do? Check the recruit's record, talk to them and their parents and coaches. If there's no obvious problem, that's it. Kirby's recruiting process is as thorough as anyone else, maybe moreso given the scrutiny UGA gets.
Georgia is under a spotlight partly because of a fatal accident and an adversarial state newspaper that goes after UGA and every coach. They did the same thing to Mark Richt. Also, local law enforcement never gives breaks for UGA football players, which is fine but that can't be said for any other college town in the SEC. We do not recruit a different pool of players than any other major college football program in the southeast.

This “new ruling” isn’t gonna stop shite. Boosters will still find a way to get the best players.
Well it didn't take long to find out. Collectives will continue to operate as they were. House settlement changed nothing except add another $20 million per year to the total payments. Programs are gonna start dropping out of football and basketball.

College Sports Commission, House attorneys end standoff over policing collectives: Sources
By The Athletic College Football
July 22, 2025Updated 9:22 pm EDT
By Ralph D. Russo, Stewart Mandel and Justin Williams
The newly formed College Sports Commission and the plaintiffs’ lawyers in the House v. NCAA settlement have reached a preliminary agreement to classify name, image and likeness collectives the same as other “valid” businesses by the NIL Go clearinghouse, three people informed of the negotiations told The Athletic on Tuesday. The deal settles a standoff that began on July 10, when the CSC issued a memo stating that “an entity with a business purpose of providing payments or benefits to student-athletes or institutions, rather than providing goods or services to the general public for profit,” does not satisfy the new model’s “valid business purpose requirement.”
The change could be seen as a blow to conferences and schools, which have been banking on the CSC model to prevent members from going above the $20.5 million revenue-sharing cap to attract athletes. Allowing collectives to continue operating as they have in the past now opens the door to a “soft cap” in the form of third-party deals with athletes.

Didn't Kirby release Zach Evans from his NLI because he got into an altercation with a coach?

Where do we keep finding some of these dorks???
As it turns out, the guy that Callicut was arrested alongside with later was murdered at a pool party.
According to a report from Fox 26 in Houston, Georgia defensive back commit Chace Calicut has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, following an incident that occurred on July 6.
Calicut committed to Georgia on June 27, picking Georgia over Texas and Michigan. Calicut is a 4-star defensive back from Houston and plays for North Shore High School. He is the No. 114 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.
According to the report, court documents state that Calicut’s car drove around another vehicle and then slammed on the brakes, forcing the driver of the other vehicle to stop. The driver of the other car claims to have known Calicut from school.
The driver of the second car attempted to drive away but the report alleges that Calicut pulled up alongside the driver again. A passenger in Calicut’s car, identified as Isaiah Brice Phillip, allegedly pointed a handgun at the driver of the other car.

Reading that we miss on Kolojay on Friday this week.
With all of our a$$ kickings on some head to heads lately.
Is there any world that we dig deep as a final four finalist for Savon Hiter even though we haven’t really seemed like a lead horse here at any time?

I'd say it probably something to do with the demographic being recruited.
