So three actual away games and 2 neutral field games. Tech @Benz and last WLOCP in Jax for a couple years.

Looks favorable depending on our QB situation

Texas with the bye week before coming to Athens .

Yep @Tech technically a neutral site at Mercedes Benz.
Could play there 2 weeks in a row …

I was meaning where everyone gets a bye ahead of playing us.

Greg Sankey and his team at work. Can't give Georgia the toughest road schedule every year, so we'll give half their opponents a bye week to prepare instead. UGA needs to start a campaign to remove Sankey.

This is a more favorable schedule than we had this year and we won the SEC. Can't complain.

Our only three road games are Tennessee, Auburn and Mississippi State?
God bless America

Bad for some of those teams as it means the byes are earlier in year. You def want a bye later in year and a cupcake to get healthy in this new model.

Out of 12 games we have 2 opponents that are off before us while we play. Honestly that doesn't seem out of line?
All things considered I think it's a pretty favorable draw.

Man I’d give up my left nut if we could enter October undefeated.

Well, it's not a "draw" at all. It's just a site flip of 2024 with different dates, which means it's still one of the toughest schedules in the SEC and the country. And to make it tougher, the date changes resulted in UGA having 4 SEC opponents who have a bye before they play UGA. Since each team has two byes, the league average (SEC opponents with preceding bye) will always be 2 or less. For 2025 the league average is 1.69 preceding byes per team (27/16). I didn't calculate the exact number of preceding byes per team in 2024, but Georgia's number was 3, which was also above the league average.
By comparison, the other two SEC teams with two losses in 2024 had maybe the easiest schedules in the league (the only difference in their conference opponents was Tennessee played Alabama at home and Texas played TAMU on the road). In 2024, Tennessee SEC opponents had zero preceding byes and Texas' opponents had 2 byes. Obviously a much easier path to the playoffs than UGA. In 2025, Tennessee's opponents have 1 bye (Arkansas) and Texas' opponents have two byes (UF , UK). So both still have an easier conference slate and still have the benefit of bye week scheduling.
It's not like we're incapable of losing on the road to Auburn or at home to Texas. Given this already difficult schedule, those two extra weeks of preparation for our opponents could mean the diffference between making and missing the playoff.

Just saw that Marshall opted out of their bowl game bc the entire team went in the portal after their coach left. Wonder if they’ll still have a team next season

They will have a team. They will get transfers in. Won’t be much of a team, but it’s a shitty situation that the transfer portal has created.
