Second, Charlie Condon is having a season that will go down alongside Beckham and Keppinger. Best offensive player (and maybe the best player overall) in Athens since 2008

8-4 after 7

announcers clearly biased to the toothless ones

Rhadans sharp in relief

Still 8-4 going to bottom 8th.

Shithead Vitello is out to make a pitching change

Anderson's squibber to first bounces off bag, 9-4 Dawgs

Condon up, men on the corners, 2 out, nothing doing, grounds to short.

9-4 after 8

Finley gives up a lead off single, then sets them down 1-2-3! Dawgs win 9-4. F TN, GTFO out of Athens you hillbilly POS!

Idk if it’ll actually amount to anything longterm this season but I wanted that one bad; Vitello and his merry band of cunts can’t lose enough.

Looking forward to the possibility of watching this team play in Hoover with a healthy Collins. Too bad the bullpen is so iffy, this offense is a lot of fun and we should cherish Condon while we can.

Right now, I'm ready to give Stricklin another year, just for this. Man I hate F'ing TN.

So we took the series from a blazing hot Tennessee team. I'm very psyched. Also very confused, but also very psyched.

If that is the case then it's mighty disappointing that we've gone ahead and signed ourselves up in ink for anohter disappointing season with zero chance at winning anything of note. This isn't year 2 or 3 and you aren't changing your stripes at this point.

Are you just saying that or do you have actual insight?

Kind of

I know several full time salaried employees of the athletic department who are of the opinion that Stricklin will not be replaced until he gets his renovations.

Granted, these aren’t guys who are involved in any sort of coaching change decisions but a couple of them do report directly to Brooks.

I just find that very hard to believe from a logical and rational thinking perspective. If I had zero allegiance to UGA and was simply reading all the facts I would be stunned if he were to continue for even 1 more season, much less multiple. It just makes no sense whatsoever, and Brooks doesn't seem like a dummy which woudl make it all the more perplexing.

Yeah why not let a new coach use the new facilities as a carrot for recruits.

exactly. Nobody denies we need a metric frickton of help on the topic of facilities and support (which is coming), but why int he world must we keep stricklin around while it gets here? It's insane. It'd be like keeping richt around after 2015 while we did the new IPF/locker room/west endzone projects. I mean eventaully you know exactly waht you've got in a dude and stricklin has been a CBB coach for damn near 20 years (over half of them at UGA) so there are'nt any surprises left. He's a guy that potentitally may have us playing "pretty good" ball and potentailly madke the postseason where we will then flame out spectacularly. In his nearly 20 seasons as HC he's made it out of a regional precisely ONE tiem. That's utterly pathetic for a program that has the potential that ours does.

Dawgs beat USC-Upstate 9-2 tonight.

Must take 2/3 from Mizzou this weekend

D1Baseball currently has us as a 3 seed in the Clemson regional. Lot could go wrong between now and then, though. Far from locked in

Yea, I think we take 2 vs Missou, we could get swept by LSU and still be reasonably in....

I couldn't watch the game after the 2nd. I peeked in at times but it seemed every time I looked we were hitting into a double play.

I read afterwards Stricklins comments were, "A loss is a loss, and it stinks". He sucks!

Need 2 conference wins to hit 30 on the year and 12 in conference. Those are typically the minimums necessary for post season eligibility
