I was on YouTube and found this about Branson Robinson. It caught my attention because it was made in April by three Clemson guys that evaluate Clemson football targets. It was eye opening the things they had to say. I think we all felt like Robinson is a great player and we are lucky to get him, but well....just watch this. It lasts about 7 minutes and is pretty good.

He is muscled up for sure. His speed and strength remind me of a couple of RBs we've had in the past. (no names please)

This is true. I saw an interview done with Robinson after his commitment, and he came off as a well grounded person. His head seems to be on straight. He will do very, very well in life.

Nice offer list. 6'2 205. Played WR, RB and QB. If he settles at one position his senior year we could see his rating go up.

Hearing that Bell could be an under the radar kind of guy. He plays at a small school so he hasn't generated any buzz until recently. Seems like we are taking on a strategy of going after overlooked guys this class.

Sounds like he has explosiveness (broad jump and high jump are excellent) without top speed.
That said, brooks austin said he is special with the ball in his hands after the catch.

For receivers speed is not even the most important part. (Assuming the receiver does not run like molasses on a cold wintery morning) Route, separation and hands all play a big part, not to mention blocking and a certain amount of hand fighting. Speed is important, and it is exciting, but without the other attributes it is just a fast guy running around on the field that is useless.
I haven't watched his film....and I know we had several on our board rated higher, but receiver is just a tough position to gauge coming out of high school.

Not bad, but also not great for a top of the line receiver. By contrast, another receiver we are looking at (Cole Speer) was clocked in at 4.38. Granted that is extremely fast, but that also makes 4.53 look pedestrian.
That said, if he has good hands, runs good routes and can get separation his speed would be fine.
