OL next year probably looks something like this: Jones, Salyer, SVP, Erickson, McClendon. That leaves Webb, Condon, Ratledge and others out of the mix. And technically, our entire OL from this year could return. We’ve over recruited OL for like 3 years now. Can’t keep all those guys happy.

You think Hill leaves early?
I can see Salyer at LG next year and Ericson at RG. I think there will be a legit open competition at both tackle spots. I wouldn't be surprised if Truss wins the RT spot. He is a road grader.

As I said, I wouldn't be shocked to hear anything portal related from Webb. He looked great at fullback on Saturday. But he isnt talked about on the depth charts at guard. Is he on the scout team? I know he has been snakebit with injuries. Ratledge is a RSFr next season. Condon is battling for the RT spot this season. Through most of the season, he has been the first bench player to get work. I cant imagine him making any decisions before spring camp breaks. Hes a valuable member off the bench at the moment. I'd be surprised if he skips out on his 4th year out of high school.

Yeah, I think Hill goes to get paid. He’ll probably be a second day pick as a guard. Not sure he can improve on that by staying, especially if he stays at C for us.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see Truss win a tackle spot but McClendon has played pretty good for us this year. I think if Salyer stays and moves inside Webb leaves. Condon was the starter at right tackle early and lost that job. I don’t think he gets it back from McClendon. And Mimbs is on his way in as well.

Going to be an interesting few months I think.

2021 we will have a lot of competition at all positions across the line. Hill may declare for the draft, Cleveland is gone. I don't know about Shaffer. With a top 2021 Oline class coming in next year holding on to those big boys is going to be tough. But teams like Bama and Ohio St have recruited just as good and don't lose any of the top rated linemen to transfers. I'm confident our staff will do what's best.

Saw in the Newsletter that we are expecting to pull in 3-4 commits in the next week or two. Those commits will come from a couple of different classes. (2021 and 2022, probably)

I am going to guess Tyre West from 2022 and Nyland Green from 20021.

Any other guesses from anybody? That would leave us with 1 or 2 more.

Sorey, maybe?

I thought you were saying we were dumping a few kids already committed

I'm not counting on Green since there's been smoke everywhere but West looks like close to a sure thing.

This is going to be a weird transfer offseason because (if I recall correctly) the NCAA due to COVID is going to allow all transfers one-time immediate eligibility.

I do not think this is the case. This season does not count toward player's eligibility, so it could make transferring a more viable option.

I haven't heard this...

However, because of the extra year of eligibility for everyone, you will have 2 big reasons a lot more could transfer.

1) all the grads would now get an extra year to play and immediate eligibility as a Grad transfer
2) with an extra year, more players are willing to risk having to sit out a year and still have 2-3-4 years of eligibility remaining

Not me! I would never bring news like that to this board. I would become a pariah.

Has there been any word about increasing the number of total scholarships to fit all these players in?

I believe returning seniors don’t count towards the 85

Dawgnation shared that last week. It was just released by ncaa offices (of course... it took 2 months to get clarification)

Not sure if there is any impact on title ix scholarships.

He's all Dawg.

He put Alabama in his tweet, but we've got the top two OTs in the Composite rankings already committed.

I think he's screwing with Tennessee.

Might want to check his Twitter account again. He has nothing but Dawg stuff on his account. The tweet you are speaking to was something by Hayes Fawcett promoting his old edit.

Nyland Green just said he’s shutting it down and announcing Dec 8.

Why would "Uhh ohhhhh" be a good thing?

Context needed, but generally speaking, recruits like being cryptic... it gets more discussion/engagement. I would read that with no additional clues as more of a "Look out!" type statement... indicating positive, but that's just based on past similar style posts from other players. I believe if it was meant in the classic "oh shite" context, it would have just been "Uh oh" or simply not even posted.

Oh. Okay. It just seemed odd to me. Comes with being from another generation, I guess.
