Many top players in college and NFL had low or no ranking at all. Got to trust the staff knows what they are looking at.

A couple of nuggets from the 247 podcast.. y'all may or may not already know this stuff but I haven't seen it posted so I figured I would share.
Brock Bowers and his family are flying to Athens this weekend on their own dime to check out the campus. They can't tour the facilities or have any contact with the coaching staff while in town. He doesn't have a set commit date but you gotta think with his family flying all the way across country on their own dime there might be some good news for the dawgs coming soon.
5 Star OT Amarius Mims is committing on August 15th. Seems like most think Dawgs are in a good spot here.
2022 4 Star LB C.J. Washington is set to commit on July 22nd... He goes to Cedartown, wears #27, works out with a former UGA player that also went to Cedartown and wore #27 like 3x a week during the summer...
If you see some of his pictures and hear about some of his workouts he looks like a defensive version of that #27.
Should be a good few weeks coming up/

What's the deal with Wiggins. Would hate to lose a cb with his size and talent to LSU or UF. Did we not recruit him as hard because they think he is set on going out west.

Mitchell is a very good wr. Is suppose to be getting a bump and his 4th star soon.

We've apparently backed off Colzie. With WR numbers very tight (we're only taking 2), we don't have room for a project, which is what Colzie has apparently been determined to be by the staff.

While Colzie is a very well known recruit for UGA fans because of where he is from, the film on him is only OK.

We lost Cager and Simmons from the 2019 squad and added Rosemy, Burton, and Smith.
After this year, I expect to lose Robertson, Blount, and landers (so far, I'm not afraid of losing Jackson and Bush to the draft)
So long as the quality is there to help the team, I have no problem only taking 2 for the 2021 class.
Edit to add: the problem with 2019 was losing 3 juniors to the draft and another kicked off the team. Those 2016 recruits leaving for the nfl were followed by an underwhelming 2017 recruiting class (holloman was the star, Blount. landers and crumpton which were about as low of recruits as we will take).
The recruiting at WR was turned up for 2019 and 2020. Hopefully we dont get into a similar situation.

I initially questioned why we recruited a 3 star WR but after watching his highlights on 247 I see why. Kid has some moves and appears to have good speed. He played a wildcat type QB in many of the highlight series suggesting that he might be a goal line or need a short yardage first down option. He ran tough up the middle on at least one of those highlight series. Looks good to me.

Landers is a rs junior. He will be back for 2021.

Maybe. Maybe not.
If he's passed on the depth chart, I dont see him getting a 5 year degree.
If we haven't recruited better than him, I think you are right.
Not every redshirt takes a scholarship for 5 years, though.

Picture this......Matt Landers with hands. The guy constantly gets open. He runs nice routes. If he work on catching the dam ball he will be dangerous.

No doubt. He broke free on routes last season quite a bit. At times, he appeared to be the only one who could.
He just couldn't finish the play (half of the times, he had a foot out of bounds. The other half, he couldnt find the handle).

I am confused. Why do you think he is Alabama bound? I haven't heard anything at all lately about him, but what makes you certain he is not coming here?
