A bunch of weird question marks on this team. I honestly don't think we will be nearly as bad as the projections say. Probably about as good as last year.

Top thing that sticks out to me this year is our size. Our average player is 6 foot 7 this year. Last year it was 6 foot 4.

We've got some interesting players. Think it might work, it probably won't. Hopefully JAR plays to his potential.

It’s astonishing how bad we consistently are especially with all the instate talent. Alabama and Auburn have legit top 25 teams absolutely no reason we shouldn’t either

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen more change in an NCAA basketball team from one year to another before in my life.

absolutely insane.

not much reason to dwell on it but with sahvir, KD, tye fagan, and toumani, i was actually liking how things were shaping up for this year

the main thing is that it's really, really hard to keep up with and support a really, really shitty program that also has all new players contributing every year.

the fun part about college sports has always been watching guys develop and improve over their time in college. im fine with that including some one and dones or guys that leave early and some transfers to fill in gaps or needs. im not really fine with whatever the frick just happened to our team. it's not fun.

Is PJ Horne the only returning contributor? Not too many other familiar names to me.

I hope we can ring the round orange ball in the orange hoop more than the other team.

Basically yeah. MacMillan played a little bit last year but he sucked. I think we will be a more sound defensive team this year. Sahvir and KD were pretty rough on that side of the ball tbh.

By percentage of returning players are we the most impacted team by the transfer portal? How many other teams had huge shifts in player personnel via the portal?

It really is hard to judge. For example, KenPom/other rankings are treating Jabri-Abdur Rahim like a bench warmer who transferred from UVA. While that’s true, he was also a Top 25 recruit a year ago. So even though he has the lowest effiency rating on the team, he’s probably one of our best players.

There’s also guys like Aaron Cook who was a highly sought transfer a year ago. Ended up going to Gonzaga and backed up Jalen Suggs. He’s being treated like a guy who wasn’t very good when in reality he probably starts for a lot of teams this year.

We sat behind the basketball recruits Saturday at the football game. I was right behind KJ Greene - looking him up is a 5 star recruit CO 2024. I would think Crean has to make the tournament being his 4th year in Athens or he will get fired. We staid with Fox way too long(although I would probably rather have him than Crean). I've been following UGA hoops since the early 80's and this is one of the lowest points I can remember. Probably lower than the Jirsa years or the end of Hugh's tenure.
