Gilbert is a phenomenal athlete and a great TE. But he’s not a program changer like Watson and Lawrence, especially if we land Washington and Johnson.
On this we all agree- a TE will not impact any program like 2 National Champ QB's. That fella is arguing with himself.

Rome is YOUNG. They lost a lot of experienced, multi-year starters. Lost coaches too, although you may be interested to learn that ex-UGA OL Daniel Inman is the new OL coach here. My UGA roommate's younger brother was the ROme OL coach the last 3 years and he left for Calhoun, where he's from (although he played at Gordon Central).
This game was the polar opposite of last year's. Rome had all the seniors and multi-year starters and Marietta was talented, but young and unproven. The reverse occurred this year.

High quality Exhibit C from one of my favorite types of internetter... Make a somewhat bullshite off the cuff remark, get called out on it, them blame other people for your inaccuracy... You do you coach.

Yeah, ol' boy clearly said missing on Arik Gilbert would be akin to missing on Watson and Lawrence and now he's trying to walk it back.
And, he never mentions the fact that Gilbert is trying to dictate to our coaches where he's going to play/touches he'll get. Don't need that in this locker room. Give me DW/TJ all day, every day.

We all know that and what he said. No reason to give him any more attention or continue with it....we got 7 days between us and UGA football with a good watch tomorrow night. Recruiting news is going to start flowing again once they open it back up for full contacts and visits.
National Champs - 2019, 2020, 2021 here we come!

An LSU poster on the recruiting board was mad as a wet hen when one of our posters said we were leading for Evans. If he commits to us it will be interesting to see what he has to say.

There are a lot of people mad about a lot of things related to UGA right now. I think my favorite part is how our history has been rewritten to suggest that we had been dwelling in 90s level misery until Kirby showed up and started cheating his arse off. Apparently all that “UGA should be better but Richt just sucks” talk from 5 years ago wasn’t actually supposed to be taken as a form of constructive criticism; we weren’t supposed to be like “you know, you’re right, let’s shake things up and do better”.
I think LSU fans are secretly still bitter that UGA had the balls to do what LSU wouldn’t by firing an entrenched, successful coach to reach for more. They know Kirby has created a much easier path for UGA to win a title than Orgeron will ever have to be able to create at LSU and it burns them up that they now have to compete against the guy they wanted at A&M

ol' boy didn't say that. And if I did create the straw man being assigned to me what reason would I possibly have to walk it back on an anonymous message board? If you want to believe something that is illogical and incorrect, go for it.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here...

Bingo.
How many times were we told that we SHOULD be doing better with all the in state talent we let get away?!? And then, when Kirby comes in, put a fence around the instate players we want, plus recruit national stars, we're tossing cash around like a drunk sailor on shore leave?
Can't have it both ways.

They are very much unhappy. And when we do win a NC there will be a lot of noses rubbed in shite. And they only have themselves to blame.

With Evans, Ringo, Washington, & Smith I believe either Sewell or Burch will almost certainly make UGA the #1 class - if everyone signs, of course.

3 more CB for Evans dropped today.
Keith Neibuhr-Auburn insider
Demetric Warren-Varsity Preps.com
and as stated earlier Rusty Mansell.
Doesn't Mansell usually wait until just before a kid announces, or am I thinking of somebody else?

Take it for what it’s worth but a vendor of mine with ties to the team said Burroughs is being processed and we already have silent commits from Evans, Burch, Ringo, Sewell, Walker, Darnell Washington, &Theo Johnson. Supposedly they are waiting to make a joint commitment sometime during the season.

If this happens it'll be the highest rated trio of RB's UGA has ever had by a mile.
I can't remember a school with 3 higher rated backs on the roster at the same time.

Zeus, Cook, Evans, and Milton running behind our O line. I could watch that all day.
