Did you see it anywhere other than Field Street? I saw their article but they can be super Disney click bait sometimes.

Yep. Field St Forum. Doesn't mean it's wrong, just that they are heavy on the "ZOMG can you believe this could happen" clickbait.

FWIW, if we try and read between the lines of this tweet, certainly seems like he might be closer:

Negative. Lindberg was next man up on the list once Raym announced for OU. SVP is looked at as interior G/C combo player. Lindberg is probably more likely to be a G with Tackle upside? Of course, this is all based on HS footage and their current measurables... Only thing that will matter is what they can do once they get on campus.

Lindberg's film looks pretty good. My only "concern" if you can call it that is that almost every play ends with him falling on top of whoever he's blocking. I admittedly don't watch a TON of HS OL footage, but it did seem to be an inordinately high rate of plays where this occurred relative to what I see happen at UGA. All I can guess is that he's actively coached to do this in HS? Anyone with more HS OL insight know if that's a thing?

This may be his own doing. This is on his 247 scouting report.

It puts more physical stress on the defender. Especially if done multiple times a game.

Make em quit.

(Although blocking downfield is probably more valuable).

this is kind of what I was imagining... Some of the plays, I get it... definitely some value in "putting some stank on it." But there are plenty where you see him do it and you just wanna sit with him and say... "see how much more valuable it would have been if you'd just blocked them out of the play and then gotten to the next level"... Which I'm sure Pittboss will do with him.

Depends on the coaching. Some coaches would teach the kids to do something like that to punish their opponent even more....wear them down.

While I didn't play OLine our coaches taught us, if you sense your opponent is injured and losing effectiveness, don't finish him off. Keep him in the game if you are sure you can dominate him. No unnecessary extra stuff like falling on them....or punishing them. Mainly because they felt like it was better to have an ineffective, tired opponent rather than a fresh body out there.

Not to bring up sad memories, but this is exactly why I was so bummed when Tua went out in the SECCG (immediately, not after the writing was on the wall). He was clearly not firing on all cylinders that day, but it didn't *seem* as bad as the year prior, so without the injury, I'm not sure they pull the plug on him soon enough for Hurts to take over. No one could have done anything about it, since obviously his own OLman got pushed into him... But definitely one of those times where we were better off with the starter in the game.

Absolutely. Players are running on so much adrenaline that when they smell an injured player they dial it up a bit. It pretty much has to be taught not to put a player out.

I saw some teammates helping their opponent off the ground, patting them on the rear and even give them a little encouragement to keep them in the game....then come back into the huddle laughing that they are killing their man.

What is everyone's guess on the number of different states (and DC) we get a player from in the 2020 class?

I am going to say 8, perhaps 9. Crazy to think with all the talent in GA and FL, that we are hitting up 6, or more, other states! Love this coaching staff's ability to recruit well all over the country.

Is Milton committing at 7 or 8? 247 saying 7.

Where can you watch this?
