Will Arian be a WR or a CB?
If you follow DN forums at all, SoFL is a poster over there that typically has some pretty good intel, albeit sometimes delayed. According to one of his recent posts, he felt that Smith is being recruited specifically as a WR. I'm a little surprised about it, but there is certainly "value" in the fact that he could end up on either side of the ball, even if the *plan* is WR. Very similar to Stokes from a build/speed standpoint.

Think our track program might play a role here as well. Petros does work.
Have been wondering about that myself. If we start seeing more legit track speed athletes, that could certainly be a big time draw.

Seems the deck is far from settled at WR as we are in it for Arian and also still going hard after Jermaine Burton.
I assume the number is still three there, but perhaps we are thinking four. Will be interesting to watch.

Losing Raym opens up a best available slot.

Yes, but I think there will be lots of internal discussion over which best available is truly the best available.
In terms of position need, WR or DL would make sense. In terms of actually going out and grabbing an extra elite guy, I could see LB or DB being the pick.

Yep. Lots of possibilities there. Although, right now it looks like Smith is the extra spot.

For however much credit we give some of these internet posters, the guy has been reasonably accurate in the past, he believes based on recent conversations that we'll be taking 6 pass catchers (4WR + 2TE) total now, which was not his original prediction.
Grain of salt and all that...

This thread has been kinda quiet the past few days, no new news?

Not really. Good things to come before the end of the month according to the insiders.

Depends. What kind of cake did you get your daughter?

Please say turtle cheesecake.

If we bring in a 5-star before the end of the month, I’m celebrating with some turtle cheesecake.

Carson Beck posted on Twitter he'd be in town this weekend. Isn't Ringo supposed to be here too?

Currently looks to be something like this:
Confirmed:
QB - C Beck
DB - K Ringo
OL - S Van Pran
OT - T Ratledge
DB - J Kimber
LB - Mekhail Sherman (spelling?)
*TE - D Washington (I've seen it as confirmed, but would call it a soft confirmed)
Potentially:
DB - D McGlothern
RB - T Bigsby
DB/ATH - Ja'Qurious Conley
RB - Jase McClellan (this may be confirmed as I've seen someone say it, but hadn't seen it anywhere close to official)

Chance that Burch is now going to be in Athens on Saturday. Rusty was the first to put this out there I believe. Seeing it a few places now.
Hopefully we'll get a more solid list toward the end of the week. Seeing several other names pop up, which isn't terribly surprising. Also would anticipate a good number of current UGA commits to join if at all possible.
