Amarius Mims with a “big announcement” tonight.

Rusty was hinting he had just shot a commitment video last week...

Meanwhile Barrett Carter is doubling down that he is not silently committed anywhere

Does this have to do with AmericusDawg’s comment - “'21 class is about to move on up the rankings. Wish they could sign 40 next year.”

Listening to Rusty on 680.He's talking about a big time prospect who visited this
past weekend and is currently committed elsewhere but might flip tommorow.

Anybody know who he's talking about?

He said if he named the position group that it would give it away, so I’m guessing Burroughs or McGlothern

It's a DB, I think. I can't remember his name or what school he is committed to, but he is a 3* DB rated something like .8664 or something around those lines.

ETA
Daran branch 3* .8668

There is another name, that I have with held that was on campus this weekend. He is a committed elsewhere prospect so we will see what he does and if he does not end up in Athens, I will give you that name, you all know him trust me..

That is a direct quote from his morning 247 post about the last day before Signing Day. He went over several players, and then popped that at the end.

Maybe he is talking about somebody else, then, because I doubt most people know about Branch.

It is not Branch. The quote I made he already talked about him in that same post.

Few folks on 247 suspect it's McGlothern.

247 McGlothern

I have no info to confirm it, so it's reaching in the wind at this point, but that would be a huge flip.

Really don't know why he can't mention his
name.Maybe doesn't want to compromise his source.

Wow. If it's McGlothern the LSU folks will absolutely go ballistic after losing their two big WRs during the early signing period.

This guy was apparently a secret visit. Not sure if it was official or unofficial, but he was not on any list of visitors, of which there were quite a bunch (mostly 2021 kids).

So unless somebody who was there this weekend leaks who the 2020 well known kid was that is committed elsewhere, but unsigned still, then the only way to make a guess is to know who’s left that fits the known criteria.

So here is the list of top 300 kids who are committed elsewhere, but unsigned:

DT Jordan Burch USCe
SDE Alfred Collins Texas
WR Xzavier Henderson UF
RB Jahmyr Gibbs GT
WR Malachi Wideman FSU
WDE Reggie Grimes OU
RB Kavontre Bradford LSU
RB Jalen Berger Wisconsin
RB Ashad Clayton Colorado
WR Javon Baker Bama
DT Alex Huntley USCe
RB Henry Parrish Ole Miss
ATH Marc Britt UF
ATH Jordan Addison Pitt
CB Dwight McGlothern LSU

So it has to be one of these guys, and I’m pretty sure we can rule out WR’s and RB’s.

My guess is Alex Huntley. But just because someone was here for a secret visit doesn’t mean they will flip, so not really getting my hopes up.

Yeah. from the list you provided I would say it would be either Huntley or McGlothern. If it is Huntley, it would kind of make me think Burch could be going to LSU. Huntley and Burch supposedly are good friends.

Interesting.

I’d prefer a Huntley as an additional DL for the team but McGlothern would create a fun melt to read
