AD, or others, could McConkey have been offered a grayshirt or PWO? Does seem weird given our WR numbers. Either way, would love to see him in R&B after watching some of his tape.

Kelee Ringo is tweeting at him. This kid can ball, he’s making dudes look silly in that opening tweet.

I think with the new offense, we feel the need to increase the numbers in the WR room. It helps with depth, but also increases the meaningful reps defense can get during practice, going against our WRs instead of scout team kinda guys....especially considering the offenses our defense will be facing moving forward as the RPO and Air Raif continue to take over. Just my 2 cents

Kirby and staff did an In-Home visit with DJ Lundy,6'0 225 RB from Irwin County yesterday. Do this mean we move on from Evans or a fallback plan.

By "small fast receiver" I meant fast with quickness to get open in a hurry. Arian Smith is no doubt a burner but I see him as more of a deep threat type than the guy who can get open with one quick cut.

I think we’re recruiting Lundy as a Linebacker not RB

Looks to be the real deal. Likely he'll visit before signing day.
+1 for knowing he can't blueshirt

Side note on Ladd-
Kirby and crew are familiar with McConkey's school (North Murray) and their coaching staff. First commit for the 2019 class was Luke Griffin way back in June of 2016 after he finished his freshman season. Luke had two ACL injuries and eventually signed with Mizzou, where he redshirted this past year.

Shout out to Todd Hartley for looking like a creeper in 100% of his photos. Never change!

That's right. ILB.
Lundy has won a few state wrestling titles. Don't think he's lost a match in past couple of years.
Spent time whipping arse and not at camps. Been wrestling since freshman year.
His high school coach is a really awesome guy and has been battling cancer. Community there has really rallied around Coach Buddy Nobles.
Lundy visited Va. Tech last weekend. Also has offers from Carolina, UTk and Vandy.

DJ Lundy is actually closer to 6'1 240, and would play ILB.
Hence why Lanning is there.

I don't doubt it. Having his family come in right after the initial weekend visit was the writing on the wall. He's ready to be done and start recruiting the class. Good for him. Hope he turns out to be a star.

Now, somebody get McHonkey in here. We need that guy. Don't know where, but seems he can plug and play wherever.

Punt/Kick return if nothing else... Good lord he's probably one of the shiftiest dudes I've seen in a while.

Call me skeptical but I want see more hightlights against Calhoun and Jenkins and less against the weaker teams.

Yeah... I can't find stat lines for him over the course of the season. Definitely skeptical of a 5'11" 180ish lb kid where almost all of the highlights are against bad teams, but feels like at a minimum, he'd be a value add in the return game.
