He might be the prospect I'm most excited for. Match up nightmare especially with George on the perimeter.

I pray whoever is running the offense doesn't underuse this guy.

I'm not in love with Fromm's game, but there's no question he can distribute the ball. He's a good player. With these receivers he could be an All-American and a 1st round pick. If I were him, there's no way I'd jump ship right now.

Fromm would be like a kid in the candy store. Pickens on one side, Rosemy on the other. Washington at TE. Competition at the slot position(see recruiting class).

You're new handle should be the grad transfer whisperer. You're talking to the right people.

I get the excitement, but people should not forget that most will still be freshmen still learning to system and how to do things the right way. They are talented, but so was Pickens and Blaylock, Bush and Jackson.

Hopefully they can be the freshmen that break though and play well as freshmen.

System?

Washington just needs to memorize 3 routes and get some reps taking hits and holding onto the ball. And weights. That's the only 'system' he needs to be a day 1 contributor. The complicated stuff can come later.

System was probably a poor choice of words on my part. I meant, the route tree, terminology, blocking techniques...that kind of stuff.

I doubt Washington is going to be heavily utilized from the beginning. I mean, maybe. I was meaning the WRs more than Washington, too.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

ETA

There is a huge difference going from HS to P5 football. Getting acclimated to classes,, a social life, layout of campus, girls etc.....a freshman has to learn a ton of stuff before they start on football.

Anyone hear anything about Avantae Williams? He was quoted in a SI article as saying he likes UGA right now. Here's the quote.

quote:

"Everybody is the same but I like Georgia right now," he said. "I like all of their DBs, I like their playing style, I think all of those boys are first round.
"They're some dogs."

Could we possibly get him and Ringo? That would be crazy.

I’ve felt that, under Richt and Smart, we’ve put too much emphasis on “the system” and experience. When elite athletes come in and can provide a mismatch, then we need to do what it takes to get them on the field. I’m not saying that we need to keep them on the field the entire game, but we at least need packages to try and exploit opposing defenses.

At 6'8 with a 7'3 wingspan, it means without even jumping, he can high-point catch a ball around 10' in the air. That's just so insane.

We could probably throw 50 consecutive slant routes to him while quadruple-covered, and he's still going to catch 80-90% of them if we nail down that high-point throw.

When we're in the redzone, run DW to the middle of the endzone and throw a ball at him about 12 feet in the air, and it should be a near guaranteed TD.

I swear, if Coley under-utilizes this kid, I'm gonna be cursing my TV out every game. That is if Coley remains the OC, which I'm still praying we hear very soon that's not the case.

God answers prayers in three ways:

1. Yes

2. No

3. James Coley will be OC in 2020

#1 if we keep Jones and Van Pran. Carter is about to be a composite 5 star too. That would give us 6.

I really want to keep both of these guys. Especially Van Pran. That kid was whippin the snot out of everyone he faced last night.

I really hope Luke keeps them in the fold.

Can they sign an LOI at any time at this point or do they have to wait until next signing day? And when is that?
