We would have the #1 class with 315.5 to 311.5 and we would only have 22 commits too

I assume that he told everyone what he told us. Didn't submit his LOI and still talking to staff.

When I played in the mid to late '80s, it was A, AA, AAA and AAAA.

247 put out an article stating he didn’t sign because he was waiting to sign with his teammates LINK

Don’t forget some regions are much bigger. Some have 9 teams.

Can we get the 4* DT out of Mississippi? Would be a nice backup plan on Burch.

It has slowly morphed into the monster it is today. I liked it when they changed it to what you played under. I don't much care for all of the classifications it has become today.

Agree.Way too many to follow and I always enjoyed the old N.Ga vs S Ga debate but it
certainly is different now with only 4 teams in AAAAAAA from South Ga.

Region 1 down there used to be a power house every year.Metro Atlanta has definitely taken over.

The state has had a population boom since you played in the 70’s. More classifications are needed plus more playoff games means more money for GHSA.

There's definitely interest with Mckinlley Jackson.

Good point. It all about the money, really.

I remember when the AJC would print the standings/records for all the teams by regions. Some of the regions only had 4 teams...and one team went. I played in two different regions and I THINK they both had 8 or 9 teams with only one team going.

But as you said, that was a long, long time ago.

The poster that pointed out that region 1 in South Georgia was a monster is right, too. Valdosta, (Valdosta was in their hey day)Lowndes, Tifton, etc. Really good teams.

Assuming that Washington, Ringo and Evans did sign with us (as rumored) do you know any other targets?

I realize Jackson, and with the three we would have 22, so only room for one more. (Right?) Surely we aren't putting all our eggs in one basket. I was just curious.

It's very likely that we take more than 23. Wouldn't be surprised if names of a few guys committed elsewhere, but not signed, start popping up.

Who gets processed to make room? Prather already, who else? Dwan?

There will be room with guys leaving via transfer portal or going pro.
Options for a Blueshirt are still possible and instate PWO's.
Prather wasn't on scholarship and Dwan likely gets a medical scholly.

2 or 3 could transfer out. Only names I heard were all on the defensive side and have basically been recruited over.

If you've been around the program for a couple of years, and still haven't made an impact enough to the point that the staff had recruited around you, I'd argue that you probably need to swim in a smaller pond.

See, I keep waiting to get the official on this one. I feel like he's done but you'll have goobers on here and elsewhere thinking he's going to start next year until they're smacked in the face with it.
