Venables is a completely different animal. I’ve heard it both ways that he is legit crazy and ADs don’t want him as a HC and that he doesn’t have much interest in being a HC outside of a few select schools.
Brady is green as hell relatively speaking but obviously finding some serious early success. Most likely is that he moves into an OC role in college or NFL before HC. Needs some seasoning in the HC regard

I'm not comparing the two- but I have a hard time saying someone who wants the National Player of the Year over Washington is an idiot.

What would be the advantage? He basically already is.

To an extent yes but he’s still sharing duties with Ensminger. His resume is solid so far but I have a hard time seeing a P5 team hire a guy as HC who has 1 year at LSU and some time as a minor assistant with the Saints. He’s obviously talented and will eventually move into that role if he wants but being the head guy is a different job

Difference is LSU was able to show the kid what he wanted to see. UGA couldn’t. Whether Brady or Burrow leave, LSU now has a reputation of using an offense that works and profiles that type of skill set whereas UGA is the place for guys who want early PT because the offense is so broken.
This may be true, but it is also evidence of how quickly things can change. Outside of 2019 LSU's offense has been worse than UGA's this year. To LSU's credit, they are cashing in bigtime.

I mean yeah but LSU took the risks necessary to change and grow whereas Georgia hasn’t and hasn’t yet shown a willingness to do so either

No doubt, I think that’s why he didn’t get much HC interest.

Not sure if it’s been discussed, but we did sign an OT who was previously committed to NC State.
