re: 2020 first year of 100% Kirby players. Why doesn’t our offense look like Bama & Clemson?

Fromm was good enough, but mistakes, penalties, and ST blunders were at issue.

Both teams benched the less talented starter and played the young guy.

Dabo started some terrible qb over Deshaun Watson in 2014. Helped us beat them.

Those are always going to happen, which is why you need to be excellent at QB. The QB and resulting explosive plays are your sin-eater.

Every Georgia loss in the last 3 years has fallen into one of two categories: 1. a QB advantage on the other team (especially in the second halves) or 2. just a poor overall QB performance by our team. Obviously the defenses have a lot to do with that, but it still means the win will go through the QB one way or another.

Even this year if I tell you how our QB played in a half you can tell me if we're up or down irrespective of the opponent's talent level. Now that I think about it, when's the last time a GA QB outplayed the other team and lost? When's the last time the QB play was even all game and we lost?

I'm starting to think that unless this defense can pressure Trask a lot and all game, Georgia will lose to Florida. That is unless the QB can be a net plus and help match the scoring output.

Now it may be too late to get another guy experience. I hope that doesn't come back to bite us.
