I like the optimism but if this is what all the insiders are saying, why is he still 91% to Alabama on the crystal ball? They've also got GA listed as "Warm" for him but Bama as "Warmer."

Do the sites like playing stuff up for drama or are some folks reading into Sanders recent tweets?

Big advantage for Dawgs to get 85-90% of class locked up on December 19th.

Like you said, gives staff a great jump on next year’s class.

I am no expert as I don’t pay for recruiting insiders sites, but a lot of the info public can see is dated.

CBs on Sanders will pour in over next 48hrs.

I’m not a 247 subscriber and rarely if ever check their crystal balls (or rivals forecasts for that matter).

Really, the only ones who tend to have a pulse on the situation are the writers from the schools in play and potentially writers from the prospects home area if they are from out of state.

Lots of predictions get placed early on, or get changed when someone perceived as “in the know” picks one way or the other.

Additionally, with the big prospects, you will see waves of predictions come in early, but then 24-48 hours before signing/commitment, you will see a wave of changes as info leaks.

Some of the crystal ball predictions are old and not updated recently.

My main remaining question is what happens at offensive tackle, since I don’t currently see us landing Neal or Wright.

Was wondering the same thing. We have two, i think committed this year and one already next year. I am wondering if we are going to try to flip the OSU kid at OG...Doug Nester, if he doesn't sign Wednesday, and concentrate on OT next year? Just spitballing/guessing here. Maybe Nester is a backup plan in case we can't pull Wright or Neal. And I agree, it will be hard to get either of Neal or Wright, but who knows with this coaching staff.

We already have TWO Offensive Tackles in this class - Warren McClendon & Xavier Truss.

Be careful Dawgslife, another teams fan will come in and say you predicted we would just flip Nester because we will probably miss on Wright and Neal. It doesn’t matter that you posed it in question form...you will be insufferable because you dared raise the question and you will have pretty much been bragging about how we are getting errrrbody while we have that empty since 1980 trophy case, Lol.

That's what I was thinking. I know we lose Kendall Baker this year. Any other tackles? I am wondering if we were going to take a tackle only if we could get a top talent there. Just a guess.

We do seem to have an awful lot of other fans lurking on our recruiting board right now, don't we? It's actually a compliment and testament to how well we are doing, though, if you stop and think about it.

Same goes for Bama. A lot of it is because it feels like we’re recruiting for the most amount of same recruits I can recall in recent memory.

Plus we’re recruiting almost, or right at their level. No one has done that in the last 5 years.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like Mansell decided this morning to throw some fuel on Fields transferring rumors. Unless some announcement is imminent, I don't know why he'd think that two days before ESD is a good time to spread rumors that can negatively impact recruiting.

Eric Stokes

Vs

Tyson Campbell

Just a reminder as we head into early signing day. While stars do matter. Preparation once you arrive at the program is also very key. Jordan Davis also stood out this season moreso than a lot of guys rated significantly higher than himself. The odds are the heavy mix or high 4 star and 5 star talent with our under the radar guys stepping up are putting us on a championship path.

I just read Rusty's latest ramblings piece, and to be frank, I do not know if he has other information to produce. His recent work is a regurgatation of what can be found on many forums- not impressed. IMO he is trying to drum up clicks
