You're absolutely right. The DE depth in this class may be the worst in years so striking out on a top 100 player and #5 DE is going to sting. I don't know where Scott goes from here if indeed Wynn ends up at Bama. He's only been here a few short months but his inability to attract the attention of top tier talent is somewhat telling. We'll see, I won't jump to conclusions quite yet.

Many more CBs for Wynn to Bama, including Rusty changing his pick. He gone. Missing on the DL will be a major problem in '18 and '19

Don't think this recruitment is over no matter who he picks today.

This is becoming a serious problem.

Wynn commits to Bama
We need to figure this DL recruiting out

Scott has been a pretty big bust so far

If he doesn't reel in Sandidge then I could follow that logic, but he's been here what 4 months and he's already a big bust?

I'm pretty slow to cynicism, but I kinda agree. Scott was the DL coach of a terrible UNC DL, and was heralded as a dynamite recruiter which was supposed to compensate for not necessarily the worlds best developer of talent. If he's not gonna do either, then GTFO.

Maybe we could do something crazy like give Scott one full recruiting cycle and one season with us before telling him to GTFO.

I just don't like the look of the DL recruiting board right now.

Given that you could very well be losing both Trent and Atkins after this season, if we don't sustain some meaningful recruiting on the DL (like we're doing on the OL) we will fall right back into the hole we've been trying to crawl out of.

Yep seems like there's always one significant deficiency and we're never firing on all 8. Hope we get some answers.

I'm just glad everyone is back to "the sky is falling" mentality. I couldn't handle all the lovey-dovey crap when Zeus committed. It was making me sick!

Wynn said he liked Bama because "they will lose a lot of guys to the NFL this year and I will have a chance to play right away." If immediate playing time was important to him he probably just picked the worst possible school to commit to.

Steve Wiltfong just stated that most all insiders believe a James Cook flip is imminent. Our RB depth won't skip a damn beat.

I said the exact, same, thing earlier. But hey, they sold him on the "you are exactly like Jonathan Allen". Kudos to them for convincing him that he will get on the field early at the school with the deepest roster, because im sure every school says that to these kids.

Still a long way to go. I hate losing DL recruits because we need them, but winning solves pretty much all of our problems.

Man, I hope our coaches covered this with ZW during his commitment process, would really hate for a Cook flip to back White off his commitment. For that matter, I hope neither of those two run Swift off...he's going to be good, I believe

These guys know and understand multiple backs signing and sharing the load. They love doing that as it prolongs their NFL careers and reduces the risk of injury. I'm sure the coaches told him their plans for RB before he signed
