We can back count 2 and sign 27.

How much better is this class vs the average class we took in under Richt?
I mean, it's way better, but it's also one of the best classes ever in the history of recruiting. Kirby has us rolling. Need to keep that up into next season and follow this class with another #1 class.
Will bring us nattys.

Going off of Rivals and using total points
Richt average: 2166.47
Smart average: 3143
I’m sure I fricked it up though.

I think what we’re seeing is that all of Bamas previous success with recruiting may not have been because of Saban.

It's way more highly rated than any class Richt ever signed.

3rd highest ever behind 2017 Bama and 2010 UF. Both which didn't have a hard 25 cap (even tho Kirby dont care about no cap)

If there was any doubt, today assures us that the sleeping giant is drinking coffee...

Bama class had 29 and UF 28.

So can we sign Sandage or is it a foregone conclusion he's going to South Carolina?

I don’t want to bash, just perspective. This is unbelievable.
Richt was good for an average class of about 6-7 I believe... would have to crunch the numbers but probably would be about a 270ish score on 247 and maybe 89-91 average rated player.
This class doesn't really resemble that at all. We're signing a class on par or better than Bama and Florida's historical "best class ever" and doing it with less guys total. Average player rating is up and the top end of this class is just stacked. Couple that with the quote someone else had, that the difference between UGA at #1 and Texas at #3 is larger than the difference between Texas and the #16 team... he's creating a WIDE facking berth over any team not named Bama, Ohio State, or to a small degree Clemson due to their average recruit quality. (Side note: Clemson may find themselves in trouble starting 2019, as they have signed small classes in both 2017 and 2018... the 25 cap + 5 back counters means they'll only be able to sign 55 over 2 seasons, but have only signed like 33 or so between this year and last year I think... it just doesn't give them any room for attrition and still remain near 85.
