There was an article that I read that said Alabama currently had 7 5-stars, 62 4-stars and the rest were 3 stars.
We supposedly have 6 5-stars and like 51 4-stars with the rest were 3- stars. Maybe this was fake news but I read and it sounded like we will pass Bama dinner than later so I’ll take it.

He's a good defensive SS... not very good with the bat in his hands, and that's against shitty HS pitching. Definitely a great athlete, but I don't see him making the big show. He's not going to get a big signing bonus and he's going to make between $12,000-$25,000/year unless he makes it to at least AAA, which isn't easy at all.

That's incorrect.
Just look at their class last year lol. Let's not talk about passing Bama for a few decades, if ever. Classes and momentum is fun, but no denying their current run is historic, and that's on top of what was already a hell of a dynasty.

Different sites use different metrics and rate guys differently. Apparently this site did not feel their recent classes were as star studded as others feel.
Still though, if we are able to haul in 7-9 5-stars this year and clean up next year we would be on the verge of passing this historic recruiting run.

They were just Comparing recruiting classes not on field performance.

Probably the best way to compare roster talent (as judged by recruiting services during high school) is to look at the 247 Team Talent Composite rankings. It shows recruit rankings of players actually on roster, which is more useful than past recruiting classes.

It's interesting to note that 3 of the top 4 ranked teams won their conference this year, and two made the playoffs including the non-conference winner.
