True enough. I remember that there were to be a bunch of kids pop on various NSDs according to him, and when CMR and company were left at the altar, it tarnished his credibility.
The "silent commit" became more of a punchline than a reality. I think I'll be a believer again when Salyer puts pen to paper this week. CMRPTSD Recruiting Edition.

What are you guys hearing about Otis Reese?
Kirby came to the Lee County Championship game Friday night but Michigan brought all of their Coaches and surrounded the kid after the game.
I know he's a Michigan commit but I thought he had been going up to Athens quite a bit these last few months?

Isn't Reese our upgrade at Brule's position?
Posted on 12/18/17 at 8:11 am to VoxDawg
Oh he would definitely be an upgrade. That kid can ball. Matter of fact, he helped us turn the tide in Friday nights game with a killer hit that caused a fumble.

big upgrade

And Michigan knew it too...they sent their cavalry to blockage Kirby. I'm hoping Luke Bryan and his entourage were able to do something...anything...

Any of us that have been around long enough know that we've had our share of signing day failures. That's when it really hits that you're dealing with kids

Only takes a couple to have folks thinking you're just pumping sunshine.
I've never shared much, except trading for info with others. Kind of networked over the years. I have had a hell of a run the past few years.
Decided to take time off and do things that only bring me joy. Recruiting has always been a passion and I go through no trouble posting news, as I sit around drinking coffee and trapping beavers.
I love facts, so for those here that don't know me personally-
I am not an insider
I rarely leave my farm.
Don't do this for attention. Been here a while and never saw the use in posting stuff that's coming out anyway. Several here have my respect and I've read their opinions for years.
This year, I've had to occupy my mind with things that bring me joy..... And going to war with colonies of beavers
Those bastards are worse then Auburn fans.

That he's the reason some parents don't want their kids playing football.
Congrats on the title. Good to see Lee County do something besides produce shitty music.

I feel like beaver trapping is code for something else...

Anderson signing Wednesday per 247.

It's definitely appreciated! Best I've ever been connected was my little brother was classmates with Florida's deputy Sports Info Director. I had an inside line on McElwain's saga, of all things. Tried sharing with the ungrateful swine on SECr to no avail.
Can't say that I blame them, though. WTF is a UGA fan going to know about UF firing their coach?
Recruiting is certainly a volatile hobby. Not everyone has the stomach for it. My dad was classmates with Watts Dantzler's dad in HS, and I graduated with his cousins at Dalton, so when the first DHS kid to play for UGA in a decade is about to sign, it's your God-given Catamount duty to get excited about recruiting.
I'm beyond ready to cast off the NSD blues and am loving every minute of our growing juggernaut of a program.

I'm not any where near the recruiting guru any of you guys are, I follow along just to keep track of where the program is headed and who to pay particularly close attention to once they're on the team (expectations).
Anyway, wasn't '18 supposed to be a down year, talent wise? From what I recall, '19 was the year you guys have been saying would be a potentially historical class for UGA. If I'm remembering right, it sure helps put into perspective the amazing job Kirby and staff have done this year.

Parsons was wearing Oklahoma gear in his snapchat this morning. Guessing that's a bad sign.

Whether he comes here or not, what gear someone is wearing is basically meaningless. Not everything is calculated like we think it is. A player liking a tweet or wearing a shirt they picked up from one of their hundreds of visits don't mean as much as we assume they do.
Posted on 12/18/17 at 9:13 am to smokehouse_83
Its not that big of a deal. Remember when Fields had a FSU shirt on at school and everyone flipped their shite?

I've got an Oklahoma hotel-style bathrobe that my wife picked up for $1 at a Collegiate Concepts sample sale when her best friend worked there. Ever since Dec 3 it's been wadded up in the floor and the dog's sleeping on it, so I don't think it all means much.

Nice. That's a surprise. Pretty sure I'd seen that he was in the definitely not signing until February camp before.
That puts 14 current UGA commits as early signing as per the sunshine icon on 247 right now:
Justin Fields
Zamir 'Zeus' White
Adam Anderson
James Cook
Trey Hill
Kearis Jackson
Azeez Ojulari
Warren Ericson
Chris Smith
Devonte Wyatt
John Fitzpatrick
Jordan Davis
Owen Condon
Jake Camarda
Then potential announcements from these guys all signing early as well:
Cade Mays
Micah Parsons
Jamaree Salyer
Brenton Cox
Divaad Wilson
Possible additional early signees (no official word yet):
Channing Tindall
Luke Ford
Anyone that I'm leaving out that's signing early?
ETA: Added Cox and Wilson to definite early, Ford and Tindall to possible early

That's only 17 early. I thought we were looking to have 20-21 locked down by Christmas.
