If the evaluations are all corrects...cutting Brule isn’t really that surprising.
I really like Kirby’s recruiting philosophy. It is a business and it’s real life. Not this coddle crap these kids learn in school. But let’s not act like it’s really that cut throat as this kid will have almost every other school in America lined up. If he takes care of business when he gets to one of those schools he will have every opportunity to do whatever he wants.

As far as Hill at center, I remember there being some talks about that way back when but he was very opposed to it and was strictly a guard. I know we lose Lamont after next year and Idk who would be next in line for center, but man we are gonna have a logjam at guard. And I'm certainly not complaining, as this is probably as deep with quality depth the OL has been in my life, but man I don't see how someone isn't gonna complain at some point.
Next year you've got Cleveland and Kindley who will both be sophomores and both been battle tested and performed admirably. Baker will be a senior and while he isn't as talented as the others there's something to be said for experience so his hat will be in the ring I'm sure. Then add Netori and Shaffer who are both coming off redshirts and were both highly regarded in their own right. THEN add Hill and Salyer, the top 2 guards in the country this year. Again I'm in no way whatsoever complaining I just don't see how we're gonna fit these 6 guys into 2 slots over the next few years.

Wasn’t a Brule’ the one that impressed the hell out of Tucker and Kirby?
I think I remember seeing he locked up anyone they threw at him.

Warren Erikson will play Center. Apparently they've already talked to him about it. He has a real mean streak in him.

Yes. Received offer right after they saw him camp.

He might be talking about his buddy Chase. Maybe a school pulled it’s offer

Perfect example of how to not run your recruitment.
Don't think this is about Chase though.

It means he's been hanging out on the Dawgnation forum.
Please don't bring that stupid over here.

If Brule was processed, do we know why?
Posted on 12/12/17 at 8:37 am to S1C EM
The Brule’, Becton and Moore’s of the world might have to be processed to make room for the Tindall, Reese and Bushes of the world.
Rather do it now then last minute, hate it for them but it’s a business.

Y’all just imagine if we get mays, Salyer and Cox. We would have six five stars if they signed.

Looking at our total list as it stands right now, it is obviously very impressive at the top. But we have seven 3-stars that look very average, granted one is a kicker. Hopefully Kirby convinces several their future looks brighter at another institution.

Sometimes those 3 stars turn out to be superstars. Sometimes the 5 stars turn out to be busts. I'm just saying.

Coaches could also give 0 fricks about 247 rankings

Understood, but do we KNOW that we need their spots just yet? And are they the only guys that could be cut to make that room? It sounds like Kirby and Tucker really liked Brule. Just wondering.

Jordan Davis is a Top 20 in his state and has offers from FSU, Miami, Florida, Clemson, Michigan. We also desperately need depth at DT/DE.
Aaron Brule is a top 20 from his state of LA, with offers from Bama, Nebraska, Texas, Tennessee, LSU, Louisville, etc.
Owen Condon is top ten in his state of OK, gigantic cornfed white boy OL with offers from Florida, TAMU, TCU, OSU, ASU, et al.
Tramel Walthour is another sorely needed defensive lineman with offers from Ohio State, Auburn, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Tennessee, among others.
Rachad Wildgoose Jr has offers from Florida, Wisconsin, Auburn.
These three stars are incredibly talented prospects, don't get too uppity now that Kirby has taken our recruiting up a notch.
We need quality guys on our scout team too.
