I added Cade Mays, Salyer, Tindall, Reese, and Alontae Taylor and we are barely behind Ohio State. Idk how much they have left to add.

Questions, apparently it’s widely speculated that we add a corner. Who is our best chance there at this point?

Which of this group has the least chance of connecting?

I think Campbell would be the most likely pull. We have Nadab Joseph visiting this weekend, but he's announcing Monday... it would have to be the recruiting visit to end them all to either delay the announcement or get a surprise UGA commit.

I think we still have an upcoming official from Isaac Taylor Stuart... he's probably the next "most likely", but I guess I'm not sure I see him leaving the west coast. Maybe though...

After that, I really don't know.

Assuming it's Mays or Taylor if UT makes a great hire and they changed back it wouldn't surprise anyone. Salyer seems like close to a done deal... he keeps cancelling visits to other schools. So many CBs for Tindall recently that I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't pick us now, particularly with Tannor decommiting. Reese is one that I've been hearing about for months now that he was going to flip... that it hasn't happened is mildly disconcerting, but I trust the people who seem to think it's going to.

I like what ive seen on film about him. To me he seems like more likely of a get for us right now. Miami still seems lie a strong leader for Campbell

I like him for sure and I don't have him way behind Campbell or anything in terms of likelihood... I don't feel great about either of them but I also trust Kirby and this staff... really would be good to pull one. Watch Kirby pull some damn magic and land both...

All of our "elite" DBs last year were Safeties I think... I like Speed, Brini and Stokes for their upside, but they will need to have incredible offseasons to truly compete for playing time at CB IMO.

Also, re: Jordan Davis... I was not aware that his Junior year was his first year playing football *ALSO*. So another player similar to Barmore in that regard.

LINK

From Jan 2017:
quote:

At 6-6 and 300 pounds, the junior obviously passes the eye test, but he’s also explosive for a player of his size and a natural leader. He came late to football, playing basketball only before transferring to Mallard Creek from Hopewell (Huntersville, N.C.) this past season.

“I’m just here trying to get noticed,” Davis said. “Trying to stick out like a sore thumb. When I transferred into Mallard Creek, they turned me into a football player because they saw something in me. This season showed I have a lot of room for improvement, that’s why I’m really trying to grind it out this spring and summer.”

Chip Towers is losing it again. He’s written more articles about Richt than UGA this week and now totally Fah-reaking out about Tae Taylor tweets. Dude is the worst

Just went to see what he's been tweeting and apparently he's blocked me. I honestly can't remember ever tweeting him. His skin is paper thin

Americus, without naming a name, would you expect that we will land one of the elite corners whose names are being thrown around? Or would you expect we are more likely to land someone a little less “famous” at this point in the cycle?

Some Clemson fan tweeted this at Salyer today:

quote:

Good luck at UGA, enjoy being 10-2 and watching Bama represent your conference.

He responded by saying:

Thanks

Hard to be pissed off at our chances, given that response.

I've had him as a commit in my head for months. Once he no-showed at the Clemson cook out, I considered him a Dawg.

Meant to share this here last night and got distracted. Grab a towel or something to wipe the drool before watching... of the nearly 11 minutes, it's probably a solid 9 minutes of "daaaaamn" moments.

Imagine fields with swift at slot and an empty backfield. We could have as dangerous a pass game as a run game in that situation. Our playbook is going to open up big time when he’s on the field.

Sounds like a good plan. We should do it at times next year and call it the rape formation, cause we raping your D.
