That just brought my weiner back from a sub-arctic 1.25 inches back to about 2.5

Still a shitty weekend though

I hope you are correct and share a general optimism about the class. Yesterday made it even more clear that we are in desperate need of elite DL and corner prospects. If we don't close with some beef at those spots, I'll be disappointed. It sucks that this and to an extent next cycle are down years for DL. Our need there is close to desperation levels. The void when the current sophomore class graduates will be huge, and could cripple our defense if we don't start winning some battles there.

Stephon Wynn I think may end up being one of the biggest misses this year, regardless of position. His size is so valuable but the Dlineman we are projected from one of the carolians could fill his spot seeing he is already 6'6 300. Either way I just believe we need more mass on the Dline, size will plug the holes leaving the linebackers to roam wild and get tackles

Which is why I normally don't believe things like that, but insiders have been saying for over a month now that we're looking at like 20 or more guys for the last 7-8 spots, so some highly rated guys are going to get left out. While Trey is highly rated there have been some questions this year about his overall commitment/passion for the game and we've got a lot of beasts on the interior OL that are freshmen or incoming freshmen, so that guard spot may not be as big of a need as another DL or CB. I'm not saying it did or didn't happen, but I wouldn't be that shocked if more people come out and say that it did.

Right, wrong or indifferent, he likely does not have a spot in this class even if he wanted it going forward... a very weird quote to make. I'd wondered how we'd take 5 OL for exactly the reasons you mentioned... With Netori, Shaffer already on campus... Kindley generally playing well at RG (prior to yesterday). Cleveland pressing for time, and then potentially Ericson and Salyer both in this class for the interior OL... I just don't see how you have room for a guy that's a definite redshirt, maybe not even a player until year 3... it's a luxury that I'm not sure we've got available. This game definitely took some shine off, so going to be critical to finish strong... a loss in the SECCG wouldn't even be a big deal, but another 20+ point loss where we look grossly outmatched would be hugely detrimental to the Kirby brand IMO.

This morning Rusty said he thinks Hill ends up at UGA, even after his comments.

Recruits do it all the time. A.J Harmon with Clemson, Ray Drew and Bama......... But Hill looks to be headed to the Plains. We sure could use that size and power on the line. Salyer with possibly Hill/Mays........

Kind of thought he'd be one that we'd part with. Good luck to him moving forward.

That may be the case, but coming on the heels of a loss like that just doesn’t feel good. If Kirby has some silent commits out there, now would be a good time for them to pull the trigger.
