For sure. Regardless of back-counting or not, every spot has to be given to someone we truly believe can come in and compete for time. As much as I love recruiting, I'll defer to Kirby every time and twice on Saturdays... he's proven his ability time and time again in that arena.

He just hasn't developed the way everyone expected.
Christian Tutt is another example of this. He was a 5-star in the initial Class of 2018 rankings and he probably doesn't hold a committable offer from any team in the SEC.

Two questions...
1. What is a blue shirt?
2. Am I recalling correctly that there is a new early signing period (in December) and will Fields be a part of that?

Eta-that's basically when Salyer will commit. When he signs in December.

Some troubling news on the Fields front: Miami has jumped back into the race for Fields after yesterday's announcement. Richt has made a really good pitch for Justin to play tight end in Coral Gables. We should all be worried.

He seemed slightly surprised by the question in the presser yesterday, so I think he was answering regarding Early Enroll status vs Early Signing when he said he wasn't sure.

Scanning fibonaccisquared's chart, it seems like OT, DL and LB will be our biggest needs heading into the 19 class. Is that a fair assessment?
